Keeping busy in the workshop. Building a traditional 5x5 oak porch with glazed sides. Pegged and glued construction with Traditional handmade Victorian 4 panel oak door.

Our recent project. Were fitting a new solid oak kitchen and ... ..... the ceramic sink needed the tap hole.

Conservatory fitted ready for plasterboards and skirting, vinyl laminate flooring to be fitted and the job is complete.

Replacing rotten Oak timbers. To old oak timber frame building.
Weve replaced a section of the top beam. Jointed glued and pegged.
... The lower beam.... Had to be completely replaced, including sections of the upright timbers.
We also replaced a section of the corner post and renewed the corner. And spliced in sections in a few other areas.
All treated with 5star preservative and woodworm treatment.

Extension works We're up to the roof now, tiles on and facia, soffits and guttering tomorrow.
We've still got a lot to do this week. The house is having a makeover too.... All new Upvc windows, full replacement timber, upvc faciaboards and guttering in Anthasite grey.

Conservatory shaping up well, footing dug out and filled, brickwork up to DPC. Layer of hardcore, sand, damp course, insulation and finished slab. Brickwork to go up and conservatory installed.

Heres something a little different, Old Restoration project. 1st beam in, pegged and glued in place. Were back this week to replace some more.
Repairing and replacing oak beams to timber frame building.
... The old timbers were completly rotten, not sure how long they would have lasted!
