About Children'S Opportunity Group (Official)

Bolton Children's Opportunity Group (COG) is a local Registered Charity.
We provide a range of services for families with children with and without special needs.
We run a fully integrated playgroup, operating 5 mornings a week for children aged 2 and a half to school age.
Mother and baby /Tweenie sessions run 3 afternoons each week for children from birth to 2 and a half.
We run a mini-bus that offers a door to door service for families with children with special needs who might otherwise not be able to attend the group.

Our Blue Room offers places for up to 4 pre-school children with Autistic Sprectrum Disorder (ASD)

We have a Nurture Group that offers up to 12 places (in 2 groups of 6) for children from Reception to Year 1 who for a variety of reasons
find it difficult to access the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. They attend Nurture Group for two days a week
and attend school for the other 3 days. At the end of their time with us (maximum 4 terms) most return to their mainstream school full time.

Bolton Parent Partnership Service supports parents through the statementing process, reviews and transition plans. They attend meetings in support of parents,
The Parent Partnership Officers can liaise between parents and schools and /or the local authority
