Thanks to the team at Shoulder of Mutton for raising over £700 from their recent Garden Party. That will provide 20 hours of much-needed physiotherapy for our members. Thank you to everyone who came and supported the event.

We love how different every day is at the Centre. Today Mix 96's Ben Moseby interviewed our Walk the MS Mile ambassadors to find out why they cherish the Centre so much and want to help us to promote our event. Coming soon to our favourite local radio station!

It may be raining but that doesn't stop our gardening group! We love how Steph has coordinated her shoes to the flowers today too :) Why not join in every other Monday from 11am - 12.30pm.

He's only gone and done it! Huge congratulations to Luke Sherring-Lucas and his family for conquering 5 peaks in 5 days! He smashed his target of £1500 too! Well done to Luke, Russ and Andy and thank you for your support. We hope you've had a well deserved rest over the weekend!
If Luke has inspired you there are lots of ideas for fundraising challenges on our website http://bit.ly/challevent

Congratulations to our 3 lucky winners in last week's draw! Match just 2 balls to win extra tickets, or win cash up to £25,000. Choose the Chilterns MS Centre as your charity and 50p from every ticket you purchase will go directly towards helping local people with multiple sclerosis. 10p goes to other local causes too. Why not give it a try. http://bit.ly/2nmDWlt

Walk the MS Mile is back & we need your help to promote it. If you can place an estate agent board in your front garden to promote the event please contact us. Boards will be ready to go up from Monday. Please help if you can. Thanks to Woodholls Estate Agents for the boards!

User

Good luck to Luke Sherring-Lucas as he takes on 5 mountains in 5 days next week to raise money to help the Centre to continue to support his lovely mum and many others. He is nearly at his target - can you help him to achieve it? https://give.everydayhero.com/uk/5-peaks- 5-days.

Best of luck to our riders at Prudential RideLondon tomorrow. We hope the heat is manageable! Visit their fundraising pages to support either Paul Hill http://bit.ly/PHRide or Tony Browne http://bit.ly/TBRide. Good luck to you both!

User

Come and enjoy the weather this weekend at the Shoulder of Mutton Garden Party. We are hosting the raffle and funds raised will go towards helping local people with #multiplesclerosis. See you there!

User

In this prolonged heat it is important that you stay hydrated to avoid infections, headaches, dizziness and constipation.
Ways to stay hydrated include: • drinking water and other fluids such as weak squash and fruit tea throughout the day and at mealtimes (making sure they are within easy reach) • eating fruits and vegetables with a high water content, such as oranges and cucumber... •having ice lollies (especially fruit-based)
If you are not producing any Urine in 24 hours seek medical advice straight away as this could be a symptom of an infection which could be life-threatening for those with a weakened immune system.
Check out this handy chart to see if you, or the person you care for, are sufficiently hydrated.

Do you enjoy a fun and varied role and have facilities management experience. Then why not join our team as our new #Facilities #Manager / #Caretaker. You will get to work with some of our amazing members and see the #impact you make in real-time. Apply before Friday 27 July https://www.chilternsmscentre.org/volunte ers/job-vacancies

Fatigue and tiredness can be made worse by the heat if you have #MS. Remember to keep hydrated, stay out of the sun and rest as much as possible. Legs and feet can swell in the heat so put them up at the end of the day. Our centre is air conditioned so why not pop in to cool down and have some lunch or a drink at the same time? #toptips #staycool #sunshine #multiplesclerosis

User

A huge THANK YOU goes out to Lawrence Donnelly and his friends, who conquered the 3 peaks to raise a #staggering £6732 for the Chilterns MS Centre. Thank you so much to you all. You have enabled our members to have over 1500 hours of treatment with that fantastic amount! #challenge #fundraising #getinvolved #friendship #multiplesclerosis
