Ephemera featuring handwriting is the inspiration and starting point for my work; old postcards as well as stamps, maps and photographs are collected; interesting areas are extracted and combined with metalwork, to create new contemporary stories.

Contrasting styles of writing are an important aspect, combined to create new conversations. The metalwork is inspired by textures found in our urban environment and is oxidised to highlight the papers used with gold tube rivets to refer to our industrial heritage.
