Closedown - Band

A tribute band dedicated to The Cure.

Closedown is a recently formed band that is based on The Cure. We are highly influenced by the work of The Cure and have been for fairly long time. We are inspired by The Cure because they are a band that has a completely uncategorisable back catalogue of discography.
No other band can take you to such extreme lows and extreme highs at the same time, they have shared moments of utter despair and moments of soaring elation; their music cannot be categorised due its sheer variety, but at the same time, you always know it's The Cure, both from their very iconic image and their very iconic music.
They are a band that always stays very true to their music and their ideology of what true music should be, and they maintain their integrity, despite having entered the mainstream during certain parts of their history.
Overall, The Cure are a very inspirational band who have inspired many artists over the years.
We too are hugely inspired by this legendary band.
