Went tonight for a meal, discreet but effective service and the food was lovely. Made for a great night. Will be coming back thanks xx

Walked past your place for the last 4 years; finally rolled in last Saturday. Pretty late, managed to squeeze us in, thanks ;) Obviously very busy- Saturday night but still pleasant relaxed atmosphere- unambiguous and unpretentious. Excellent starter prawns (enough garlic to deter the local vampires, not so much chilli that I needed to send out for more soft toilet roll on Sunday morning), terrific steak with a great pepper sauce, my dining companion went for a burger I am sure was based the old vintage Scooby Doo show (remember? like a thousand things in the bun help together with a toothpick type thing). The serving staff gave every impression that they were very delighted to be there and their enthusiasm was infectious.



A couple of very pleasant surprises:



First: I love my beers (CAMRA member, Stockport Beer Festival committee member) but I am prepared to take a hit in the beer department at a good noshery- either not licensed or the usual bog standard stuff; I tend to fall back on the wine list on such occasions. So it was a very pleasant sight to see a selection of bottled ales from Brightside (a first class independent Manchester brewer) so I could help my feast down with a couple of very pleasant session pale ales. I will inform my real ale chums at the next meeting.



Second- those BBQ beans! That is my 'side of choice' for the next few visits. And it won't be long before that happens. (I have a few years catching up to do after all.)

Second time we been this time with the girls and we loved it staff could not be more accommodating even got the girls pics on Wall we were absolutely stuffed my partner had the double cheese double bacon burger and I had the cheesy mushroom it was gorgeous just a shame we couldn't finish it but with the gin of the week I could not fault our meal if only we got the name of our waitress my girls loved her defo coming back xxxxx

Again, a lovely experience, food fantastic, kids loved the kids menu, table sauces delicious; particular favourite being the ‘bear’ sauce, even ordered a take away to take home for my poorly Dad who couldn’t make the meal.

A special mention to a one of the staff, tall long-bearded man...nothing was too much trouble! We will be returning! 👍👏🏻

I think the food is amazing and the staff are always friendly and helpful and i have been several times and it has always been great

I have been following this page forever and always wanted to try here and so glad I did the food was lovely all hot, fresh and tasty! The Mac and cheese is lovely and the waffles are amazing!! All staff were welcoming and helpful!!

Only one thing is we ordered onion rings and the Cajun is quite heavily put on so wasn’t as enjoyable so maybe ask for plain or light sprinkle of seasoning!!

Freakshakes are a must try!!

Been loads of time tried most things on the menu everything excellent! My only gripe is the choice of lagers Draught Budweiser or Brooklyn bottles not a fan of either.

Amazing food! Burger was the size of a small horse and absolutely delicious. Paired with the porky dirty fries and garlic sweetcorn I was full to busting!





Always a danger that food will be cold/chewy when delivered but everything tasted like it was fresh out the kitchen



Will definitely re-order and visit in branch to try more options

Absolutely fantastic. A hidden gem. This place is the business. Fantastic service, really good portion sizes and great prices. The ribs were amazing and the dessert were spot on. Would definitely return. We will try your Rochdale restaurant as it’s nearer for us

I must admit,being a vegetarian in a very meaty environment,I wasn't holding much hope.... but my vegetarian stack was tasty and very substantial, couldn't finish it. My two teenagers loved their burgers and shakes. Have visited a couple of times and will do again.

Visited with friends, and had an enjoyable meal. Service was really very good indeed.



My only issue is that the food all kind of tasted the same. We enjoyed as a group most of the meat shack selection. Whilst they were tasty it wasn’t really easy to identify the meats.



The nachos were great but perhaps a little more cheese wouldn’t have gone amiss.



Finally the desserts were again good - I had a Sundae but it really was far too large.



As I said, enjoyable evening, good food and would try it again (but might skip lunch!)

Just because the food platters are large, does not make it good, if you like salt then fine, all the rubs must just be salt , Tom jam dirty fries are nice , and the prawn starter on a crispy bed , well if you count a couple of sliced peppers and grated carrots then yea they were nice, mac n cheese is clearly powder mix and comes out dried up worse than a micro meal ,food is edible, took the kids to get freak shakes which was the main reason for the visit, they were happy so all good, could have spent £100 on nicer food elsewhere

I must add that the place was empty, yet when I sat down he rudely told me to move as soon as my bum touched the chair! I asked what things were on the menu and he spoke to me like I was moronic and should of known the menu myself. Overall I found his demeanour and attitude rude, arrogant and cold. He wasn't inviting and he alone has made me not want to visit this place again, which is sad.

We got a delivery from the Hazel Grove branch last night, and were really disappointed - all of the salad on my burger was manky and I had to pick it off � The chicken was really stringy and totally dry - I couldn’t finish it! My boyfriend got the chicken wings and he took one bite and had to leave them because the smell was rancid and they were clearly off. Can’t believe we spent £45 on such a sub-par meal.

I had been meaning to try this place since it opened, and on Thursday just gone decided to go along and see what it's like myself boyfriend and two daughters. It's was gone 8pm when we called in and was greeted nicely by a lady who I noticed sat at side table on her lap top. Never the less she was nice and directed us to a great seat in the window which suited us all. After 5mins of getting coats off and getting hold of the menus... A waitress came over asked what drinks we wanted I asked if we could have a few more mins and he reasponce was a roll of the eyes. That was the first time she did this. She came back few minutes later and we ordered the drinks. My children was eating of the kids menu so there drinks came but wasn't enough of a drink tbh especially when what was to come was a total over load of salt.. Tut... The food arrived and the same face that rolled her eyes then seemed very hostile when she handed me my food.. With food almost slipping off the trays on to me.. And would of done if I hadn't of stopped it from doing so!!! My boyfriend ordered beef brisket that stated it was slow cooked for 16hrs...this was not the case its was chewy.. Looked like something u get in a boil in the bag from farm foods and full of gristle.. The kids burgers was totally dry and over cooked and the chips they was given already had salt on them which we didn't expect as further salt was then applied... Mummy I'm so thrusty is what I got from both children. When the male waiter came over he asked was everything OK which I replied not really.. And went on to say the brisket was certainly not what we knew brisket beef to be.. Only for him to say "yeah I'm sorry about that we have had a few complaints about the brisket beef today!!! Wtf??? I honestly couldn't believe what I was hearing!!! Why was they still serving this fake brisket beef then? If feed back hadn't been great... I was dumbfounded and really wanted to get up and walk out but.. Didn't want to ruined the trip out and evening with my kids.. So I just thought too myself I certainly won't be coming back here again..to try and let it go for my kids sake I suggested that they have a freakshake.. Extra 2 pound each. The waitress who rolled her eyes brought the first one over totally over loaded with chocolate sauce etc allowed it to drip all over the floor and when she placed it on the table there was nothing stopping it from dripping all over the place... So sleaves covered in chocolate my daughter tucks in... I was given a piece of kikat off one of them, and it was totally STALE when I told the waitress... Guess what she did?? Yes she rolled her eyes yet again and reluctantly offered another one.. No thanks I said... As her attitude /face was making me mad. My overall opinion of this place is.... It's terrible.. Felt like I was eating slop off metal trays with slaw... That tasted of nothing. Salt added to kids food making them want to ask for more drinks... Staff who had bad attitudes or the total wrong answers... Will not be going again. And plan to let people know too. The lady on the laptop was the only one who was nice.!! But of course they want your money.so come in She wasnt there long hence why we was served by idiots there after. Terrible... Sorry kids!!!

Felt like I was eating slop off metal trays with slaw... That tasted of nothing. Salt added to kids food making them want to ask for more drinks... Staff who had bad attitudes or the total wrong answers... Will not be going again. And plan to let people know too. The lady on the laptop was the only one who was nice.!! But of course they want your money.so come in She wasnt there long hence why we was served by idiots there after. Terrible... Sorry kids!!!

Went tonight for a meal, discreet but effective service and the food was lovely. Made for a great night. Will be coming back thanks xx

Walked past your place for the last 4 years; finally rolled in last Saturday. Pretty late, managed to squeeze us in, thanks ;) Obviously very busy- Saturday night but still pleasant relaxed atmosphere- unambiguous and unpretentious. Excellent starter prawns (enough garlic to deter the local vampires, not so much chilli that I needed to send out for more soft toilet roll on Sunday morning), terrific steak with a great pepper sauce, my dining companion went for a burger I am sure was based the old vintage Scooby Doo show (remember? like a thousand things in the bun help together with a toothpick type thing). The serving staff gave every impression that they were very delighted to be there and their enthusiasm was infectious.



A couple of very pleasant surprises:



First: I love my beers (CAMRA member, Stockport Beer Festival committee member) but I am prepared to take a hit in the beer department at a good noshery- either not licensed or the usual bog standard stuff; I tend to fall back on the wine list on such occasions. So it was a very pleasant sight to see a selection of bottled ales from Brightside (a first class independent Manchester brewer) so I could help my feast down with a couple of very pleasant session pale ales. I will inform my real ale chums at the next meeting.



Second- those BBQ beans! That is my 'side of choice' for the next few visits. And it won't be long before that happens. (I have a few years catching up to do after all.)

Second time we been this time with the girls and we loved it staff could not be more accommodating even got the girls pics on Wall we were absolutely stuffed my partner had the double cheese double bacon burger and I had the cheesy mushroom it was gorgeous just a shame we couldn't finish it but with the gin of the week I could not fault our meal if only we got the name of our waitress my girls loved her defo coming back xxxxx

Second time that I’ve been here, this time with the fam on Mother’s Day.

Again, a lovely experience, food fantastic, kids loved the kids menu, table sauces delicious; particular favourite being the ‘bear’ sauce, even ordered a take away to take home for my poorly Dad who couldn’t make the meal.

A special mention to a one of the staff, tall long-bearded man...nothing was too much trouble! We will be returning! 👍👏🏻

I think the food is amazing and the staff are always friendly and helpful and i have been several times and it has always been great

I have been following this page forever and always wanted to try here and so glad I did the food was lovely all hot, fresh and tasty! The Mac and cheese is lovely and the waffles are amazing!! All staff were welcoming and helpful!!

Only one thing is we ordered onion rings and the Cajun is quite heavily put on so wasn’t as enjoyable so maybe ask for plain or light sprinkle of seasoning!!

Freakshakes are a must try!!

Had our first cockadoodlemoo delivery tonight, the food was spot on really nice and still hot. Would defo reccommend people so get ordering better than a pizza chinese or curry anyday.

Been loads of time tried most things on the menu everything excellent! My only gripe is the choice of lagers Draught Budweiser or Brooklyn bottles not a fan of either.

Amazing food! Burger was the size of a small horse and absolutely delicious. Paired with the porky dirty fries and garlic sweetcorn I was full to busting!





Always a danger that food will be cold/chewy when delivered but everything tasted like it was fresh out the kitchen

Absolutely fantastic. A hidden gem. This place is the business. Fantastic service, really good portion sizes and great prices. The ribs were amazing and the dessert were spot on. Would definitely return. We will try your Rochdale restaurant as it’s nearer for us

I must admit,being a vegetarian in a very meaty environment,I wasn't holding much hope.... but my vegetarian stack was tasty and very substantial, couldn't finish it. My two teenagers loved their burgers and shakes. Have visited a couple of times and will do again.

Visited with friends, and had an enjoyable meal. Service was really very good indeed.



My only issue is that the food all kind of tasted the same. We enjoyed as a group most of the meat shack selection. Whilst they were tasty it wasn’t really easy to identify the meats.



The nachos were great but perhaps a little more cheese wouldn’t have gone amiss.



Finally the desserts were again good - I had a Sundae but it really was far too large.



As I said, enjoyable evening, good food and would try it again (but might skip lunch!)

Just because the food platters are large, does not make it good, if you like salt then fine, all the rubs must just be salt , Tom jam dirty fries are nice , and the prawn starter on a crispy bed , well if you count a couple of sliced peppers and grated carrots then yea they were nice, mac n cheese is clearly powder mix and comes out dried up worse than a micro meal ,food is edible, took the kids to get freak shakes which was the main reason for the visit, they were happy so all good, could have spent £100 on nicer food elsewhere

I had been wanting to try this place for a couple of years and just never got around to it, we went for an early dinner today. The nachos and fries were gorgeous as was the coleslaw and salad, the brisket and burger had good flavour but were so unbelievably dry! But overall it was tasty and fresh. I would definitely go back, regardless of the dry meat.....if it was managed by other people. The manager Pete left us standing as we entered, when I assumed it was up to up us to seat ourselves I cheerily asked if we should take a seat, he then proceeded to interrupt me whilst holding his finger up and carried on wiping tables. I must add that the place was empty, yet when I sat down he rudely told me to move as soon as my bum touched the chair! I asked what things were on the menu and he spoke to me like I was moronic and should of known the menu myself. Overall I found his demeanour and attitude rude, arrogant and cold. He wasn't inviting and he alone has made me not want to visit this place again, which is sad.

We got a delivery from the Hazel Grove branch last night, and were really disappointed - all of the salad on my burger was manky and I had to pick it off � The chicken was really stringy and totally dry - I couldn’t finish it! My boyfriend got the chicken wings and he took one bite and had to leave them because the smell was rancid and they were clearly off. Can’t believe we spent £45 on such a sub-par meal.

I had been meaning to try this place since it opened, and on Thursday just gone decided to go along and see what it's like myself boyfriend and two daughters. It's was gone 8pm when we called in and was greeted nicely by a lady who I noticed sat at side table on her lap top. Never the less she was nice and directed us to a great seat in the window which suited us all. After 5mins of getting coats off and getting hold of the menus... A waitress came over asked what drinks we wanted I asked if we could have a few more mins and he reasponce was a roll of the eyes. That was the first time she did this. She came back few minutes later and we ordered the drinks. My children was eating of the kids menu so there drinks came but wasn't enough of a drink tbh especially when what was to come was a total over load of salt.. Tut... The food arrived and the same face that rolled her eyes then seemed very hostile when she handed me my food.. With food almost slipping off the trays on to me.. And would of done if I hadn't of stopped it from doing so!!! My boyfriend ordered beef brisket that stated it was slow cooked for 16hrs...this was not the case its was chewy.. Looked like something u get in a boil in the bag from farm foods and full of gristle.. The kids burgers was totally dry and over cooked and the chips they was given already had salt on them which we didn't expect as further salt was then applied... Mummy I'm so thrusty is what I got from both children. When the male waiter came over he asked was everything OK which I replied not really.. And went on to say the brisket was certainly not what we knew brisket beef to be.. Only for him to say "yeah I'm sorry about that we have had a few complaints about the brisket beef today!!! Wtf??? I honestly couldn't believe what I was hearing!!! Why was they still serving this fake brisket beef then? If feed back hadn't been great... I was dumbfounded and really wanted to get up and walk out but.. Didn't want to ruined the trip out and evening with my kids.. So I just thought too myself I certainly won't be coming back here again..to try and let it go for my kids sake I suggested that they have a freakshake.. Extra 2 pound each. The waitress who rolled her eyes brought the first one over totally over loaded with chocolate sauce etc allowed it to drip all over the floor and when she placed it on the table there was nothing stopping it from dripping all over the place... So sleaves covered in chocolate my daughter tucks in... I was given a piece of kikat off one of them, and it was totally STALE when I told the waitress... Guess what she did??
