We managed to access the buildup of the roof structure.
You can see in the pictures the work carried out back circa 100 years ago and to think there was a person drawing this by hand.

It's great when a client finds an original peice of slate in the basement of a old house. They wanted to use it as a base for their wood burning stove. We cut the slate perfectly and give it a slight sanding clean keeping it's rusticness to the clients request. #construction #liverpool 👌👌👌

Busy weekend here at CMNWL. Installing steels and taking walls down for our client.
On site steel fabrication to throw in as well (check the video in the comments section). Drilling holes at centres as advised by our engineer.

First part of our adaptation in #waterloowarehouse waterloo warehouse #apartments #liverpool. Converting an apartment into a #kitchen #diner. Firstly taking down the glass partition #demolition removing doors in filling squaring off internal coves to form the kitchen that's desired for the client.
Unfortunately again unforseen existing wiring proved a problem which we over come.
But we got there in time for the kitchen to be installed.

It's been an extremely busy start to 2019 and this is possibly our first post.
Foundations concrete brickwork up to DPC slab concrete it and superstructure brickwork underway.
Demolition to the back of the house and steelwork manufactured and ready for installation.
... Due to the flat roof being extremely damaged over the years we have had to rip off the existing coverings and supply and install a GRP flat roof which is also underway

Yesterday we were invited to a pre remembrance Sunday unveiling of a statue at Hamilton Square, Birkenhead we commercially managed and project managed with Northwest Construction who carried out the building work.
The statue was to commemorate those who fell in the great war and many other conflicts.
There is a plaque with a poem of Wilfred Owens which read:-
... 'Move him into the sun— Gently its touch awoke him once, At home, whispering of fields half-sown. Always it woke him, even in France, Until this morning and this snow. If anything might rouse him now The kind old sun will know.
Think how it wakes the seeds— Woke once the clays of a cold star. Are limbs, so dear-achieved, are sides Full-nerved, still warm, too hard to stir? Was it for this the clay grew tall? —O what made fatuous sunbeams toil To break earth's sleep at all?

Still working at this time on a Saturday. But we have finished the installation of a front room log burner including a flue liner, cowl, slate hearth and fire 🔥. For the fire place surround we hacked off all the existing plaster and internal fire place buildup. Ground out all mortar joints sanded the brickwork, chemically cleaned the bricks, pointed the bricks with a red stained mortar and sealed it 👌👌

A collage of pictures from our bathroom refurbishment. Full rip out, new pipe work, double ended bath, toilet, sink, shower, floors and walls tiled,ceiling installed was a plastic white gloss product incorporating spot lights, new fan and electrical shaving and mirror light. Relocated and supplied and installed a new loft hatch incorporating ladders and re-wired all light and fan switches to the landing.

Chimney breast renovation at our house conversion project in #warrington. We had to hack off the existing plaster, grind out all joints, wash down, sand all the face, repoint with a coloured mortar, build in a new brick hearth and finished of with a satin sealer 👌👌👌
