While in Blackpool me and the family always visit coral island and enjoy our time there. This visit was due to staying over night watching a show at the grand theatre. Coral island didn't disappoint, we had fun there again and enjoyed the food there xx

User

We popped in yesterday (27\01) and the first thing we saw was the little coin-op pirate boat that was more expensive and didn't work on the pier. Put our 3.5 year old girl on it and as she was riding, Captain Jack ran past and threw some golden coins (chocolate) to her. What a lovely start! When we asked the bingo staff where he might be cos our little one wanted to meet and thank him, they told us he'll be running around and gave us even more gold coins! (Bless them).

We were impressed all around. The train ride thingy is only a pound a go and lasts really well. The Flying galleon ride (not sure of the name exactly) is decently priced and a good bit of fun for mini folk.

The staff were generally friendly, prices seemed decent and the place had a nice atmosphere and plenty to do.

Really enjoyed it. Will definitely be back and see if we can win another giant banana on the camel race. ļæ½

Me my wife and daughter love this place spent most of yesterday and today in there came here for hoilday really lovely place defo coming back

User

Me and my daughter have been going to coral island for yrs we we're there yesterday I had a beautiful lovely Sunday carvery friendly staff great place for my grandkids friendly atmosphere all round ļæ½ļæ½

User

Me and my boyfriend come here quite a lot we really enjoy it. The only downside is if I had to be picky is sometimes the teddy bear claw machines don't work and they tend to stay that way the don't rush to fix them. When we go and then come back a few months later it's still not sorted. Apart from that we love it.

User

Always go there wen in Blackpool cheap food rides 4 kids my Mrs won 1000 ticket jackpot we only needed 4 for what we wanted staff great and helpfull one stop shop food rides games for all ages

User

I visit coral island a lot with my children. They love going on the 2p machines and the rides and winning lots of tickets. Their favourite part of their visit is when we take the tickets and choose prizes for them. Super visits every time.

Until today. Myself and my 4 year old won lots of tickets we were about to go chose a prize when she really needed the toilet so off we went. I put the tickets on top of the toilet roll holder. We then went to the sink to wash our hands when I realised Iā€™d left the tickets there so turned around and saw a lady go straight in after us. So we waited for her to finish and after being in there a while she finally came out but low and behold my daughters tickets were gone. She claimed they fell on the floor and she couldnā€™t pick them back up but no tickets and off she went with a group of people and a smile on her face. The lady I spoke to at behind one of the counters said she asked security to get the lady but nothing was done and they left.

Itā€™s fully put me off going again you canā€™t trust anyone and now my 4 year old was devastated and has been telling everyone how sad she is all day. The woman knew they were hers and my daughter was asking for them back but nope. And when I said I would have security check cctv they replied with we donā€™t live in blackpool so you wonā€™t find us.

Devastated after giving up hope of getting them back I then took my daughter back in to coral island and spent more money winning more tickets just so she could have some prizes.

Other then that we love the arcade and I hope my daughter wonā€™t be to put off by the bad experience!!!

User

I like Coral Island it's heaving all the time but that's understandable. The snack bar is minging but it's a cheap arcade snack bar what do you expect The Ritz?? The Bucceneer is good and Captain Jack's is all right. I will say one thing if you don't like the place and aren't happy don't go back and if the place is closing then get out before it does! The staff have family's and have a life as well! Stop moaning about everything and get a grip!

User

I Went with family yesterday and spent most of day in coral island due to weather and waiting to see my daughter in a show at the grand theatre , but also we had other children to entertain. We all enjoyed it, but the children most definitely did especially when they saw the pirate. He gave them chocolate coins and was willing to let our little boy take a photo with him (which didnā€™t happen due to our little changing his mind ha ha!). However we had coffee in the cafe and also ate in the restaurants which was very good quality for a good price. The meal deal was great value for money. All staff was very polite and helpful. I Was very impressed with the staff when my daughter miss placed her bag, and they instantly was on the radio to other staff to ensure it was returned to her. The bag was found and they followed a good protocol for it to be returned to the correct owner. Would definitely return to coral island again when in Blackpool.

User

Me and the missus come to coral island a couple of times a year just as a day out. We usually play for tickets so that we can get something to come home with, that way youā€™ve had fun but have something to show for it at the end. Recently though on some of the high end ticket prizes we have been seeing a lack of quality. I came home with a boom speaker last year which had a battery life of zero so a portable speaker that had to be on charge. This time we have both come away with a bioband smartwatch, this is as of yesterday. Usually I donā€™t write reviews but this has got to us both a little bit as itā€™s the second time. The bioband smartwatch has no apps that work with it so you canā€™t even use it. We wasted 3000 tickets for nothing. These should be taken off the shelves. An unusable item that has left us both a little sour.

User

Loved this place since I was a kid, always have a good laugh and collect tickets. I wish theyā€™d go back to having household stuff for us older folk (Iā€™m 26 and have no interest in winning colouring books and the latest barbie doll.

I give it 4 stars because it still does things that irritate me time after time. The womenā€™s toilets are truly disgusting - always filthy with pee all over the seats. There is holes in the doors that people can see into and some doors have toilet roll stuffed into the holes to block it up. Come on Coral Island, give them the much needed makeover they need. The other thing that irks me is the rude and miserable staff - the machine fixer folk are fabulous and generally pleasant. However, the attendants who sits in a box giving out change are nearly always miserable - I get it, itā€™s a boring job but they need to suck it up because plenty of people manage to do mundane jobs without having a face like a slapped ar*e.

Overall I would recommend it for fun and the prizes but go to the loo elsewhere first! Also, beware of machines that appear working but steal your money.

User

Coral island is an open all round cafe / restaurant has mainly all facilities me and my boyfriend went yesterday on the off chance of the weather it started off nice but as it got during the day it started spitting that fine rain that gets you wet .any way back on the coral island bit, the food is not bad every day stuff cause I had cheese and chive sandwich on Brown wholemeal bread and a plate of chips which I enjoyed my boyfriend just had a buttie then we both had muffins for after I had a latte he had a coke .it's very clean staff on the go all the time I think Hygiene rating is 4**** and that's about it really

User

Was in Blackpool for 5 days, spent a lot of money in coral island.

Our last day, we cashed up our tickets ( family of 5 ), thought we would have a drink in the buccaneer ( not sure of spelling), got told unless we were eating had to sit outside, which was absolutely packed.

Asked for the ceo e-mail and manager, surprise surprise, nobody knows anything. Dressing someone in pirate gear doesn't constitute an answer.

User

so a tile fell off the wall smashing into pieces. nobody once asked how i was after it landing on me. we got sat on a 4 seater table with 6 of us. not happy with the service at all and in pain now

User

Went for lunch and had a number of disagreements with staff over what food we could and couldnā€™t order. Complained via pm but no response. Will never be back

User

Not like it used to be I've allways loved this place ever since a little kid took my own son today for a family day out, went to the restaurant/bar for dinner placed our Order within the time we sat down our food was on its way and as told by the manager when we made a complaint about our burgers (which are Ā£10 each) that they were fresh ļæ½lol I know what a fresh burger is and I know what a dirty burger is and that was a dirty burger it was rubbery, chewing them for ever they smelt of not like your average burger. when we complained we got such rude customer service back, they took the burgers of us gave us nothing back in return said they are not replacing them or refunding them so we paid 10 pound each for a half a portion of chips I recommend not going here as it was awful and tony the manager was so rude when we complained it was shocking I don't know how people like that get jobs such as manager such a lack in customer service! Will Deffo not be returning or recommending! You Expect good food or at least okay food at Ā£10 a head!

User

I think the staff need to learn to be more polite. I'm not being rude but my friends came up from down south to visit me and my partner and 1 year old. We all decided to go to coral island on the last day for an hour. We went into the middle bit which is over 18s as one of our mates wanted to go on a slot machine. The lady who was working there came over to us demanded ID (it wasn't a polite hello welcome to coral island could I see some ID please) it was a rude "ID Now" which I can understand we need ID because we do look younger than what we are but it was how the lady came across was very inconsiderate and rude. Another thing is she said "is there a kid in the pram" (bare in mind she is 1 and was asleep) I said yes and I was demanded to leave the area. I can understand but I can also see how stupid it is. Considering she is only 1 and isn't exactly going to understand what is going on and I wouldn't let her play. Me and my partner weren't playing either we were there to show our friends around. We were made to feel very uncomfortable and made us want to leave earlier than we wanted.

User

I remember as a kid having holidays to Blackpool and walking away with loads of crane teddies. Now that coral have rigged all the cranes by loosening the grips trying to get one is nearly impossible when the grabbers are that loose they open and don't grab!

User

I love coral island , go there once a year, went there for my birthday n went to have something to eat inside coral island, I ordered a burger meal, it was ready in 1 min I was shocked, it was the worst burger I have actually tasted , full of grease , I couldn't even eat it, told them it wasn't very nice if I could ge5 one nicely cooked, they bring out another one that was very quick, tasted the same dripping with grease , my friend didn't even eat his. It ruined part of my birthday meal, I will never go back there for something to eat again. Noway did they cook that burger from fresh.

The staff have family's and have a life as well! Stop moaning about everything and get a grip!

Dressing someone in pirate gear doesn't constitute an answer.

so a tile fell off the wall smashing into pieces. nobody once asked how i was after it landing on me. we got sat on a 4 seater table with 6 of us. not happy with the service at all and in pain now

Went for lunch and had a number of disagreements with staff over what food we could and couldnā€™t order. Complained via pm but no response. Will never be back

User

Will definitely be back and see if we can win another giant banana on the camel race. ļæ½

Always go there wen in Blackpool cheap food rides 4 kids my Mrs won 1000 ticket jackpot we only needed 4 for what we wanted staff great and helpfull one stop shop food rides games for all ages

Dressing someone in pirate gear doesn't constitute an answer.

so a tile fell off the wall smashing into pieces. nobody once asked how i was after it landing on me. we got sat on a 4 seater table with 6 of us. not happy with the service at all and in pain now

Went for lunch and had a number of disagreements with staff over what food we could and couldnā€™t order. Complained via pm but no response. Will never be back

I remember as a kid having holidays to Blackpool and walking away with loads of crane teddies. Now that coral have rigged all the cranes by loosening the grips trying to get one is nearly impossible when the grabbers are that loose they open and don't grab!
