Coronation Street Eccles

My name is Phi (fee) me my cousin and my sister played the part of Ken Barlows dog Eccles on Coronation St for three years

Since 'Lady Freckles' made her debut to Coronation Street there has been at least six Border Terriers played the part of 'Eccles'
I think the second Eccles was bred and owned by Mr Hardman, from Bolton. In Feb 2007 Janet Sykes a Border Terrier breeder and dog behaviourist was asked if she could supply a dog to play the part, in fact three of the Asplands Border Terriers became Eccles until June 2010, Asplands M'Lady, Asplands Flook and Asplands Salsa better known as Phi (fee) Tess and Maeve, the Eccles sat on Deirdre's knee for the 50th Anniversary photo is Maeve. Since the Asplands team retired from the street there's been at least one other Eccles I have no information about the breeder or owner.
