Croston Pre-School Nursery

As we begin the half-term break there is little to report on the development of the tadpoles other than that they are still growing and are now quite big. HOWEVER ..... our caterpillars, described by the children as "spikey", "big, fat and curly" are just beginning to climb to the top of their pot and are spinning some threads. Let's hope that there are some exciting changes to notice on our return. Have a good break everyone!

A brief reminder of our "Sunsmart" policy. As one of the boys pointed out this morning: "If you don't wear sun-cream it (the sun) burns you!"

What an incredibly busy day today! First of all appreciating the beauty of our local environment and then a visit from Police Officers Clare and Caz - how pleased we are to know that they are there to help us.

Very little to report on the Tadpole Up-date. Having been moved outdoors for the Easter break, they seem happy but do not appear to have grown very much. This has however been explained by one of the children: "The tadpoles are cold - it's freezing"

For St. George's Day!

And that's another term over! After a very busy week egg-hunting and learning more about spring-time we hope that everyone has a really enjoyable break and a very Happy Easter.

How lucky we are! Today we took delivery of our wonderful new playhouse made in the workshop at Garth Prison - all the children and the staff are so grateful and are looking forward to spending many happy hours in "The Quiet Cottage." We would also like to send a massive "thank you" to Ian and the team from Barlow Trailers Ltd for taking charge of transportation.

We thought you might be interested to know what the children think their own mummy might like.... baking cookies playing in my house... food - she loves Cheerios lots of presents white and green watching TV with Daddy butterflies striped ice-cream flowers reading books together sausages doing picnics drinking beer and eating apples pink watching the tele vases - to put flowers in and put some water in for the flower too hearts cuddles peace and quiet on an aeroplane turtles giving me ice-cream glue and finally .... a ring!

What a beautiful afternoon for a walk in our local area!

Many thanks for the offers of help with the playhouse - we are very appreciative of all your support. We have been able to arrange to arrange transportation.

URGENT APPEAL Croston Pre-school has been donated a wonderful playhouse which has been made in the workshops at Garth Prison. We need to collect it from there a.s.a.p. but we need to find someone with a trailer or big van to help us move it and this can only be done during the working day.
