MORTGAGE MYTH MONDAY - "I don't earn enough to get a mortgage"
Mortgage lenders can consider up to 5 times joint income depending on circumstances and all of them calculate this slightly differently. Some can even take into account things such as child tax credits, maintenance and child benefit which can push your income up significantly.

All mortgage lenders look at different incomes slightly differently but provided you can show a history of these then often they can be taken into accounts. I have seen clients be able to double their potential mortgage borrowing based on this point alone.
