I left the Parachute Regiment in 2015 after 9 year service that also saw me work alongside the Special Forces Support Group (SFSG) for 4 years.

It's always nice to be able to start again and have a fresh start when it comes to our diets and exercise. And most people say you don't need to wait until New Year's Day for that to kick in, so what's stopping you from starting now?! πŸ’ͺ
I have seen a lot of 30-Day Challenges recently as well as plans and programmes who require you to be quit strict when it comes to your diet or do unrealistic exercises that the average gym goer might not be used to. Even... down to spending money on expensive products to be healthier when it's not even an essential. All of these things can lead to people having a bad experience, therefor putting them off and not wanting to try exercising or dieting again. This is the last thing we would want to happen πŸ’«
Instead of wishing things will change this year, let's start by making changes we know are necessary or more than capable of doing ourselves. We need this mentality in order to be able to move on with our lives. Keep it simple, keep it consistent and keep it enjoyable πŸ™Œ

"I don't have time" a.k.a "I CBAAAA!" or it can simply mean that you just don't prioritise it in your life and that's okay too! Though we always do find the time to do other things that we value in life..
Where as, I believe that if you do make your health and fitness a priority, it will lead to an amazing domino effect that will continue leading you to be happy and healthier with your other priorities in life! πŸ’«

I know some of you do struggle as you have children or work full time and wish you could click your fingers to add more time but maybe have a little think about these statistics... is there anything you could swap for? Do you feel maybe you do spend too much time TV when you finally have a break? It's all just a way for us to be creative for ourselves and find ways to MAKE time for it.
Don't forget, this isn't me saying you should fill your time by going the gym every single day, it would literally be so beneficial and amazing for you to just start off with 15-20 minutes each night to prepare healthier food for the following day or getting in your daily steps to what it should be!

Monday's shock statistics 🀯
Wanting to get into shape is usually dependant on calorie intake, though the meal on the left isn't bad to have every now and then! Usually it's mainly due to lack of awareness regarding it's place in the overall balance that can throw us off our tracks. Like we've touched before, no diet is inherently "bad" but (as you can see) a diet without awareness can easily lose control.
If your calorie intake is small, the result can lead to consuming the ...denser fast food calories sparingly but still done if enjoyed. Whereas regular intake of enjoyed high volume, calorie sparse foods can lead to a sustainable and well balanced diet. This is the king that will most likely satiate and reduce need for any additional calories.
Of course, there should always be permission to eat any food at your choosing, all I'm saying is to just appreciate portion sizing, energy value and satiety per calorie and this awareness is what can help if you want to remain in control of your diet πŸ‘πŸŒˆ

Starting again frommmm Noww!! 🀣. - I dont know many people including myself that stick to what they say there going to do 100%. - Athletes maybe BUT us who live in the real world are surrounded by distractions and temptations. It's also not our actual job were we get played and given medals to eat well and train every day.... - stop beating yourself up for not sticking to what you said and for falling off track. We are human and I I'm at the front of the cue when it comes to falling off track. - You need to learn that if you fuck a part of your monday up. You have flexibility, dont punish yourself and just readjust. No one is perfect and we are not robots. - Stop punishing yourself but also stop letting one mistake ruin everything else. - Have a glorious sunday and have a plan for this week if you do fall off what are you going to do?
