NEWSFLASH: Kaspersky vindicated of wrongdoing
European Commission: “The Commission is not in possession of any evidence regarding potential issues related to the use of Kaspersky Lab products”. We want to provide you with an update regarding recent developments pertaining to Kaspersky Lab and the European Parliament.
... On 6th March, the member of European Parliament Gerolf ANNEMANS formally asked a series of questions to various offices in the European Commission to seek clarification on the use of Kaspersky products which were accused of being “malicious” in the INI non-legislative Parliament resolution on cyber defence. The European Parliament resolution was adopted on June 13, 2018 where amongst other things, the resolution called Kaspersky Lab products ‘dangerous’ or even ‘malicious’.
Yesterday, April 16th 2019, the EU Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society Ms Gabriel publicly answered to the request stating that “The Commission is not in possession of any evidence regarding potential issues related to the use of Kaspersky Lab products.” “Your products are safe – that’s what we've heard many times from different regulators and politicians. I am happy that the European Commission shares that sentiment and have confirmed it publicly,” said Anton Shingarev, VP of Public Affairs, Kaspersky Lab. "This is another point that proves that our global transparency initiative, data relocation and launch of transparency centers is working, and it’s an effective way for a cybersecurity company to ensure trust from clients and regulators. We also hope that the statement from the European Commission will help concerned parties to make evidence-based decisions, not based on rumors and bad reporting.”
Best wishes,
Chris Connell General Manager, Kaspersky Lab UK Ltd

SCAM ALERT ! Amazon email stating account to be suspended ?
I knew it was a scam as, firstly I don't have an Amazon account but other tell tale signs are -: The senders email address was not a genuine Amazon email domain. the link in the email would have taken me to an a replica amazon page but if you check the address bar, the url was not an amazon page... my quality anti virus software blocked it as a data stealing site
Any questions please contact, always happy to help/ advise :-)
