Our knitter and natter group have made all these lovely Easter chicks.... they were for our Easter Fair but as we have had to cancel we are donating to St Mary’s church Haughton Green to put in the food bank parcels. ❤️

We love this idea.... can you knit or crochet a bee, could you make a bee from your craft items for our display? We are going to have our own bee display, once we are allowed to open... so if you are able, we would love if you could knit, crochet, colour, make with anything you have! a bee 🐝... (Any colour if you don’t have yellow and black) .... And save if for when we open! Please let your friends and neighbours know who may not be on Facebook... We hope you are all staying well 🐝

Following the Government announcement earlier this week, we are sad to report that despite our best efforts to try to maintain a reduced drop off/return service last Saturday, the library will be fully closed until further notice. Due to current Government advice and to ensure our users are safe, we will also be unable to offer access to the library or provide a book collection point during this time. If anyone has books due back soon, please do not worry; all due dates are... frozen until we re-open.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your continued support, and we look forward to seeing you all again as soon as it is safe to re-open our doors.
Stay safe.

HELP NEEDED - We are trying to create an outside library shelf so people can come and take a book to read... does anyone have a cabinet or shelf unit that they can donate so we can set up outside? Thanks in advance

We are open this morning 10-12, this is ONLY for - Returning / exchanging/ taking new books out There will be NO crafts, refreshments, access to PCs.
We ask people keep a distance from others using the space and come in, sort your books and leave.
... We are not being rude, we are just trying to keep our volunteers and you safe...
We will keep you updated over the next few weeks.... don’t forget we keep our doors open through donations and people attending events... which for the foreseeable won’t be happening, we are putting plans in place to try and safeguard our wonderful library
Thank you all for your continued support and lovely messages

We have decided to close our doors for the next month, in light of the current guidance around coronavirus.
We have done this to protect our volunteers, many of whom are over 70 and have underlying medical conditions.
We will be open on Saturday morning for people to come and exchange their books or to take new books out. We will not be holding a craft session.
... We will keep reviewing the guidelines and will keep you updated.
Kind Regards All the trustees of the Library
