Thanks to everyone this #ThankyouThursday who’s helped us by participating in a challenge event or fundraising in any way possible over the past seven days 🙌🏽
💚 15 staff members from Utiligroup completed the National Three Peaks Challenge and raised £3,060 for Derian House and St. Catherine’s Hospice.
💚 Justine Taylor and her ‘Ten for Tia’ team joined Tia Taggart’s parents and supporters who cheered them on at the cheque presentation for their fun run of which they held in th...e youngster’s name. They raised a huge £3,085.
💚 Marion Halliwell and Colette Rimmer celebrated their 80th and 60th birthday parties by asking their guests for donations to Derian House. Between them, the pair made a total of £500.
💚 Our corporate partners KJ Fire Safety Limited aced the Lake District Three Peak Challenge over the weekend as part of their #Derian50Challenge. They’re holding multiple fundraising events throughout the year for us.
💚 Chris Pilkington (BookofPilx) organises a Guild Wheel Walk to raise funds for us, St. Catherine’s and Rainbow House. His hard work brought in a fabulous amount of £1,000.

We’ve got another load of people to thank for their hard work this week in raising the profile of Derian House and making money to help care for the 350 families we look after 🙌🏽
💚 Cathryn Jones-Roberts completed Born Survivor in memory of her nephew’s best friend, Tyler. Whilst raising £500 by acing 20 obstacles, she got soaked to the bone and covered in mud!
💚 ‘Bruce’ the gorilla and a giant teddy were donated by Richard Johnson from the Masonic Lodge of Freemasons in Kend...al. Upon his visit to Derian, Richard told us he actually donated before the hospice opened in 1993 during the initial fundraising.
💚 Staff from Albert Harrison’s Ltd over in Padiham sacrificed part of their wages to raise funds for local charities bringing in £500 for us.
💚 Rick Ashton set a goal for 2019 to run a total of 1,000km for Derian House. He’s done 10 events so far and almost reached 50% of his target, completing the Blackpool Promenade 10k over the weekend. You can follow his journey on Twitter - @Derian100k.
💚 A huge £10,000 was raised from a charity golf day organised by Thomas Hardie Commercials Ltd’s Justyna Kawalska, Lesley Bain and Jim Murray. They’ve fundraised for us for many years.
💚 Balshaw's Church of England High School in Leyland raised over £4,000 at their spring fair and family fun day which they'll split between a number of charities including ourselves.

Julie McCluskey and her husband were encouraged to write a will because of our #MakeAWillMonth campaign. All it cost them was a £175 donation to Derian House 💚
In May this year, Derian is partnering with a number of well-known solicitors throughout the region who will give their time and expertise to write your will. You’ll be able to write or update your will, and all they ask in return is that you make a suggested donation that will go towards looking after our 350 families... in Lancashire and South Cumbria 🏡

TGIF 🎉 Last weekend, our youngsters indulged at Lodge Friday Night Club where they made fruit kebabs and drowned them in chocolate 😋
A great night was had by all - we also made Marvel salt sculptures, played on the Xbox and finished off proceedings with a super supper courtesy of Nana Jan’s 💚

Back in January, Together for Short Lives kindly donated to us two shark costumes from the 28 that were used in last year's performance by Pinkfong in The X Factor final 🦈
They wanted to see how we put our great white outfits to good use, so we decided to create a little something... You're SO welcome #BabyShark 🤣

Rachel and her friend ‘Jack Jack’ absolutely loved Wednesday’s music session 😍
She enjoyed playing the drums as we listened to a rendition of the Aladdin soundtrack 🥁

💚 Novello Ladieswear put on a phenomenal fashion show at our Ladies Lunch event last Thursday - how fabulous do our fundraising models look?! 😍
💚 Lisa Stewart has started her gruelling training for a White Collar Boxing ‘Fight Night’ on Friday 5th July at Bowlers Manchester. She’ll be raising... money for Derian House, and is excited to start this journey!
💚 To celebrate the end of her Mayoral year, Cllr Sue Greensmith of Wigan was gifted with a canvas painted by our children and young people at Derian. Over the course of 12 months, Sue helped raise over £33,000 for us. We are so grateful to her for choosing us as her sole charity of the year.
💚 A raffle, book sale and bric-a-brac sale was put on by Chelsea Moss and her friends. They were raising money for four charities, and they kindly gave us £100.
💚 Little Leah held a sunflower sale, selling plants that she’d sowed herself for £2 each. She wants to Sponsor a Nurse for a day using the money that she makes.
💚 One of our siblings, Robert, spoke about Derian House in his school assembly at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School. He also encouraged a dress-down day on his birthday in memory of his sister Grace, where everyone wore pastel colours as they were Grace’s favourite. They managed to raise £220.

What an incredibly busy week, we can’t believe #ThankyouThursday has come around again so quickly! It’s time to thank the wonderful people who’ve made a vital contribution to Derian House over the last seven days 🙌🏽
💚 Rebecca Bridges Photography took part in Jets GPS Fleet Solutions’ charity netball tournament that they held as part of their £50 Corporate Challenge, with Rebecca and her team raising a fabulous £490.
💚 16 corporate volunteers from Manchester and Sheffield bra...nches of NatWest let loose in our gardens and helped continue our ‘Woodland Walk’ project last week.
💚 £700 was raised from numerous activities thanks to the children at Holy across and All Saints RC Primary School in Eccles.
💚 A beautiful vanilla and raspberry ripple cake topped with our mascot Danni was created and donated by Christina Russell Cakes, which we raffled off at our Ladies Lunch event. Clare was the lucky winner!
💚 Hindley Green Community Primary School were invited to the Mayor of Wigan’s Parlour to hand over a cheque of £141 for Derian House, which was her chosen charity of the year.
💚 Ciaran and Richard of Ancient Oak, along with Sarah from Fairydust Events, presented their cheque of £709 following their family fun day last month.
