Seems such a long time ago now!
I enjoyed going to school there, yes there was some bullying going on but that happened in all the schools, and I was there when the teachers were allowed to deal with the culprits, the cane was still in vogue then and it worked as a deterrent. I left in 1969.
Mr Stephens the science teacher was a bit of a power seeker, Mr Ashby was a nutter, I will never forget I had to write a 2 page essay why grass was green, I still have not forgotten about it. They kept you in detention without telling your parents, then I got home and got punished again because I had misbehaved and got detention.
Those were the days
I've never attended but hoped to go to the open day with my 10 year old, but, I work and couldn't make it, I have emailed Deyes twice and asked about further days but get no reply. I am still making it one our choices, can't help but think it was not a good first impression though.
Fucking shithole biggest group of wankers that ever existed
Teachers didn't care about bullying,both verbal and physical and made me feel as if i was the one at fault because i was taller than everyone else.I remember this even now forty years later.
If this place ever needs a volunteer wrecking crew, sign me up. I'd put a wooden stake through the foundations of this monstrous hole myself.
I hate the school I unfortunately still go I barley get any revision to work the deadline are really stupid ( for homework and shit like that) but over all the way the deal with bullies don't get me wrong some teachers are nice in that school and will help you however it is shit send your kids some where else
