Super busy day today culminating in this beautiful scaffolding board desk top, check the knots and grain swirl out on these pieces 😍😍😍 fab boards to work with. This is part of our largest single order since day 1. It’s been an absolute pleasure piecing this together for a very good friend of ours. From small shelves to mahoosive shelves, console table to desk this was a monster job and we’ve loved it. If we have room to get it all out and photograph we will. However the customer may have to do our job for us once they are dressed and in situ. Now, time for a drink! Or 5!!! 😃 #woodberudenotto

Completed this morning our bespoke fireplace grate candle display upstand. Specific requirements from our customer made it tricky to find a reclaimed piece as this is to be placed inside a fireplace - but we like a challenge. This is made from a recovered piece of 7x2 roof joist from our local woodyard. It was then cut to size and rough sanded. The live edges are something we are very proud of 😍 We cut these into the straight corners of the timber ourselves to give it that co...untry farmhouse rustic look and feel desired. We also added some hessian sack detailing to disguise the support struts. Last but not least it was finished in an environmentally friendly water based wood dye, oiled and lacquered to protect the colour and some super cute mini hairpin legs to finish 👍 Bootifull! ❤️❤️❤️ Candles holders in the pics are supplied by Rusty Rustic ❤️ #giveoldmaterialnewlife #rustyrustic

Seems we got a bargain also, this is an old 1900’s BR hand signal lamp manufactured by Sherwood Ltd, pretty big in lamps we believe back in the 1900s. This lamp came with the original oil reservoir and fully working porcelain crown and brass winding wick. Gonna make a cool reading lamp when we are done with it. #reuse #repurpose #relife

Busy day of timber prep in the workshop today honing our inglenook style carving skills amongst other things. The timber used is 7”x2” roof joist. The straight edges are carefully shaped out and deeper more rustic detail carved into the timber to give it a really rustic farmhouse look and feel.
