#Repost @karigari.london with @get_repost ・・・ Absolutely Exquisite hundred percent hand made Kashmir Zardozi Royal jewel carpet / wall hanging with semi precious stones and amazingly intricate zardozi hand embroidery. Zardozi is raised coloured metallic colour thread work in intricate designs. Parts of it can be gold and silver toned with springs and coils. The art of Zardozi embroidery uses gold wire (zari ). The process of making gold wire (zari) is extremely intricate and... involves heating of gold wire and silver bar in the furnace to form an alloy. Gold coated silver wire is extruded from this alloy and this wire when wrapped around a silk thread forms zari. Small patterns take days to finish.
