I offer Yoga Therapy on a 1: 2: 1 basis, using the therapeutic benefits of yoga to enhance health & wellbeing. Weekly Mindful Vinyasa Flow classes and Restorative & Yin Fascial Yoga workshops to all levels in and around Devon and the South West. 1: 2: 1 yoga also available.

There are sooo many awesome pigeon variations to play around with... I'll post a few over the next few days. ⚓ This pigeon twist is one of my faves ... a deep hip stretch AND a twist!..Yum.Ma ⚓ Gently press the parts of the body that are touching the floor to the ground to keep the body active ➺➺ this will also help to bring space into the body to open up the twist. ⚕ Sweeeet!... ⚓ If you can't get the bind... use a belt or grab the waistband of your trousers 👌👍 ⚓ I teach at the Sea cadets Venue in Exmouth on a Wednesday morning... this is my spot! 💙⚓⛵😀

The physical practice of yoga tends to have an overemphasis on stretching the hamstrings and often strengthening the quadriceps ... over time this can compound tightness through the front body and weakness & instability along the back line.
In my classes over the next few weeks we're going to bring our bodies back into balance as we flip this and work on s t r e n g t h e n i n g the h a m s t r i n g s and g l u t e s developing strength in the back body while... s t r e t c h i n g the q u a d s and h i p f l e x o r s as we open up the front body. 👌
