We went for a spa package today. It was amazing. Great facilities, service and massage. Afternoon tea was delicious. The nicest scones I've ever tasted! We were hosted by Paul in the restaurant. He was fantastic. Unbelievable service. Paul made our afternoon most memorable. Will definitely be back!

We have just spent the most beautiful few days for our wedding anniversary, it was a surprise booked by my husband. I have to say it’s one of the nicest places we have stayed, not only the building but the staff are absolutely outstanding !! They seriously could not do enough for us, simply divine !!! We celebrated our wedding at your hotel on Saturday 28th October and from start to finish experienced superlative service and attention to detail. The planning by Steph and Nicola was superb and I don't think there was a single loose end the whole weekend. We stayed in the Presidential Suite which made us feel like celebrities - we had to give tours to our guests as word got round! Every single guest for the wedding who stayed at the hotel was impressed and said how friendly and helpful everyone was. The food was absolutely delicious - vastly superior to the food served up at most weddings. Our photos so far look fantastic - largely due to the amazing backdrop your venue provides; this is the most beautiful, glamorous and historic hotel in Liverpool. Nice touch being introduced to Mandy who owns the hotel and mention must be made to the most knowledgeable of concierges, Robin, who looked resplendent on the mosaic tiles in his top hat, tails and white gloves. Thank you all for everything - Debbie and Tony Holmes x

The Double Tree by Hilton was absolutely lovely , was very clean all round. Enjoyed the Spa, it was very relaxing followed by the massage.

We had afternoon tea in the Library room, our waiter Paul was charming & very attentive serving our afternoon tea.

My wife and I had afternoon tea yesterday 07/ 02. We were truly looked after by all staff. Paul was our waiter, he made us very welcome introducing himself to us and nothing was to much trouble for him. We will definitely return and next time we'll incorporate a stay in the hotel too. Recommend the afternoon tea....

Could not recommend this hotel enough! Stayed here for my sisters wedding this weekend and it’s a true hidden gem! Staff are so attentive and the building is unbelievable! Didn’t ever want to leave! Xxxx

Beautiful hotel. Billy the concierge was a lovely man and we appreciated the tour and talk about the history of the building. Helpful staff and fantastic spa. Will be staying here again next time we visit Liverpool.

Stayed on a Thursday evening, couldn’t fault the hotel, beautiful architecture, got there early got checked in ok, got upgraded room & free access to spa. Food & service in bar was brilliant, room was nice and cool and not a sauna like some places.

Just back from a fantastic stay .We stayed for three nights .from we entered hotel untill we left we found staff very efficient and very friendly. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is self service we had no problem with this food was good .We ate in hotel most of our vist mostly bar food which was also very good .the hotel is well located very close to to centre.all in all a great stay we look forward to returning .

The hotel itself is very nice and the staff very friendly. It's advertised as a hotel and spa yet even after paying £150 for two nights we were told we had to pay £15 to use the spa! I think that's a bit much as the room itself was not cheap! I would love to have gone for a swim etc but an already expensive weekend didn't justify paying £15 for a swim! I also think the breakfast, although nice should be included in the price and not another £24 for two days!

Such a shame as it has definitely put me off staying here again.

When paying so much for a 1 night stay you really expect better facilities. Outdoor seating area atrocious, me and my partner were say down outside having a drink and the next minute the whole thing had collapsed with my partners foot caught underneath (neither of us are fat either). Had an 'accident report filled in which consisted of someone writing down his name, address and what happened. Offered us breakfast as an apology which we don't want to stay longer than needs be. Went out after this happened but could only stay out half an hour as my partner was struggling to walk.



Service was good and everyone was friendly but did expect a little more for our money.

Nice hotel to stay in but breakfast was a real let down paid £24 for me and my partner and it wasn’t worth it at all, everything was cold, beans were freezing, didn’t get offered a hot drink, hotel great, breakfast not, disappointed!

My Husband and I attended the George Michael tribute evening. I would just like to point out from the start that the Lady that greeted us and the servers were very pleasant and lovely. The entire service on the other hand was diabolical, I do not know who was in charge as it seemed no one was. It seemed 2 tables were forgotten about and had to wait a very long time for their mains. The kitchen need to take Eton mess off the menu, as it is quite clear they have no idea what it is.

Friday 26 Jan 2018, Staff were great and the hotel is great, the starter and main were very nice however it was almost an hour between courses.

Dessert was supposed to be Eton Mess but it was just a blob of bitter yoghurt which several of us returned.



As for the George Michael tribute act well he had the music loud to hide his pitchy tones, forgot some words and missed his best more than once, was overly animated and only managed the upbeat tracks (but left as he butchered Careless Whisper), yes I know there’s only one George Michael but if you’re selling yourself as a tribute artist you have to be better than average, this guy wouldn’t through Any talent show auditions
