Duffield Lawn Tennis Club

As you will be aware, nationally the weather has been bitterly cold. People south of Watford have had to wear thick polar coats and their plight has made it onto the 10pm news, whilst people in the north just had to put on a jumper. For this reason to beat the winter blues there will be an Adult Social Saturday on February 9th.
Time : 3pm - 5pm.
Entry fee: £5 (pay on the day)
... Format : Doubles (American - everyone mixes round after timed matches)
Prize : tube of balls
Just turn up on the day. Obviously if you are in South America accessing off shore funds, sailing up the Mekong or having a weekend in Rhyl you are excused.

Duffield Ladies Teams have been nominated for Team of the Year at the Derby Telegraph Sports Awards!! Unfortunately they were runners up but a great achievement and honour to be nominated. Well done ladies!! We hope 2019 is even better 🤞🎾🍾

Back by popular demand, no not the commissioning of The Bodyguard series 2 or the remake of Mary Poppins (who makes these decisions?) but the return of Social Saturdays. The fun Adult doubles tournament where the winner wins a tube of balls.
The aim of Social Saturdays is for a social fun tournament (with a 1% hint of competitiveness), to encourage anyone new (or old) to experience friendly organised doubles.

Time : 11am to 1pm
Cost : £7/player
... Everyone will play relevant age/standard matches with prizes for everyone including a prize for the best Halloween outfit. Just turn up on the day.
