Greta Thunberg welcomed to Friends House
Swedish climate striker Greta Thunberg sparked a global strike to protest at the lack of government action to combat the climate crisis. Next week (22 and 23 April) she will be in London. Her two-day programme begins in Friends House, home of Quakers in Britain.

A big event in Eccles Quakers Garden Room, welcoming people from all over Salford: Marking “Earth Hour” Sat. 30th March. Venue Eccles Quaker meeting house, at the back. A special hour together, without electricity. Starts 8.30 pm.

Quaker friends Christmas worship on Christmas Day at Eccles. First can I point out we usually do not celebrate Xmas due to every day being a joy. This year, for fun and to support our growing community, we are holding 30 minutes quiet worship at 10.45 followed by joining in some songs.

Our Labyrinth event in December was such a huge success. Spread over 2 days it offered a wonderland of experience. Roll on 2019, with the joys of our exciting annual events, and our calm team !!

Special “gathering” lunch tomorrow Sunday 12-3
