‘Congratulations to the lovely June Rutherford on her 25th anniversary of working at King James Court. To celebrate we held a surprise fish and chip lunch which was very kindly paid for by EFT for all our tenants who in turn provided a variety of cakes (not good for any dieters!). June was thrilled with the surprise party, her new pin badge, gifts and vouchers. A thoroughly enjoyable day for all, we still couldn't keep her away from the hoover though!’

Project Manager David and Director Jordan were at Ryelands Court last week to host a coffee morning at one of our Anchorhanover schemes.
This was to say a huge thank you to all of the lovely residents for their patience whilst we upgraded their fire alarm system

We are helping to change how people perceive women in the electical engineer industry!
International Women’s Day 2020 saw a great deal of recognition for all the amazing hard work and dedication that women have been demonstrating in our industry.
We were delighted to have had Skills For Security get in touch with us and ask our female apprentices what they think of the industry.
... Skills For Security said: "We are really excited to support days like this to show all women you are celebrated within the industry. To do this we asked our female apprentices some questions on how being a women affects them in the industry and how awareness is important to them. Here we have some of our amazing apprentices from EFT hard at work, as well as some of our staff from Skills for Security."

Another busy week in the training academy last week with our senior engineers having some first aid refresher training.
We feel it is of the utmost importance that all of our engineers are first aid trained so that they can deal with any emergency out in the field.

EFT open day 2020 was another huge success!
This is an opportunity for anyone looking to start an apprenticeship with EFT to come and find out more and to meet the team. A really fun and interactive day which saw over 60 people attend and over 150 applications for our apprenticeship scheme.

EFT apprentices were at Gateacre school in Liverpool last week talking about apprenticeships to year 9 students.
It was an opportunity for professionals discuss their jobs informally with small groups of students , so that within a relatively short time students will have insight into a number of professional careers.

Yesterday we spoke with 250 students at Maricourt High School about how apprenticeship opportunities with EFT can help shape their futures.
A huge well done to Max, Harvie and James who are in the first year of their apprenticeships who spoke about their apprenticeship journeys in front of the whole assembly, especially to Max who was himself sat in school this time last year.
