We went here last night, 27th January for our daughter’s 18th birthday, we couldn’t have chosen a better place. From the warm friendly welcome we received, to the food, the atmosphere & wonderful service, we all had a fabulous evening. Abs was amazing & looked after us extremely well, highly recommend Ego’s & will most definately be back!! Thank you xx

Warmly welcomed and shown to one of many tables by pleasant staff. Busy night but didn't have to wait at all for our drinks to arrive and order starters and mains. Starter food was delightful with salmon fishcake and poached egg going down well. Mussels were nice but content tiny towards some we have had, overall good. The main however of Iberian Belly pork with blackpudding and chorizo was outstanding. Truly the best I have eaten. Cannot compliment this dish highly enough.

To be honest (mildly embrassing) the last time I visited was 2005. So we ended up at fox cub after failing to get into all the old haunts. But 'wow', from my perspective the moment we entered the fox cub to when we left it was excellent. Can't really add anything else, other than we will be back in four weeks.

There last night, it was very busy, but everything was perfect lovely staff. Food ,and drinks. The only down side was we were sat near the door, and were frozen by the time we got home. Mug of coffee and the fire on to get warm.

My third time here today, the first with my family and i have to say the junior menu is perfect for our 10 yr old. Gorgeous food as always and can never fault the service. Fast becoming my fave place to eat !

Love this place. We were made to feel welcome immediately and every member of staff were attentive but not intrusive. The food was beautiful and very good value.

Just been for my daughters birthday meal and what a fantastic place, food spot on. My fillet steak melted in the mouth even though I asked for it well done, just goes to show it can be well done and cooked perfectly and not tough! Kids menu was fantastic with large portions. Lots of special offers on especially the Monday offer really fantastic value for money. And the staff was pleasant and very helpful. Defo be coming back. Highly recommended

Jon, Ryan and the team always make you feel welcome and look after you. Food is very good and they made our visit extra special for my step daughters graduation, so thank you. Will be back soon x

Had a great time last night at Ego for my birthday , arrived for the 2 4 1 cocktails which were fab , then had a great meal service was excellent food superb drank to much so forgot to use my birthday voucher , will defiantly be back 🍸🍸🍸🍸

Fantastic local pub / restaurant. Great atmosphere, food, drinks, beer garden & staff. Always lovely with our daughter, perfect for families, couldn’t recommend more.

Been here a few times now, fabulous service, staff and food. Family friendly, would recommend to anyone. Great offers without compromising on quality. It was first choice for my birthday lunch. Can’t wait to return again.

All of the staff were excellent. Great environment which was light and airy, even though it was busy you never felt like you were penned in. I had the prix fixe menu, calamari to start was crispy with a great dip. The slow roasted belly pork was divine - full of flavour & texture. I would recommend Ego 5/5

A great birthday treat for my mum. The food was great, as was the service. Nothing was too much trouble. Boozy sambuca coffees & correctly served brandy just completed a great evening. Mum has vowed to convert the doubter & I'm sure we'll be back soon. Thank you :-)

The place is lovely the food excellent but having ordered drinks two other lots of people came in after us and were served first. It was my first time there. The manager made a fuss of the table next to us chatting for some time whilst we were still waiting. Had to remind him about the drinks when we got them did apologise. Our meals came great food no one asked us during the meal how it was but the table next to us again the manager went over and checked how their meal was. When we had finished our waitress did ask us and did I form her that it was very good.

Initial service at Ego very good but then a bit slow which was the only thing that let down the evening as food was really tasty when it came! Of course there were apologies for the delay but a little more attention to empty glasses would have made for 5 stars! Really great and will certainly be going back soon :-)

Should be a deduction for screaming kids ruining ya meal and I mean running about and screaming top of lungs it's not fair on people who just wanna go and enjoy a pleasant meal.. Inconsiderate parents have know idea they had 3 of em both on their phones not giving toss waste of money not going again although I love it there about the 3rd time we put up with that .. About time they had adult only side in pubs no offence to parents who do have respect for other people when out and try I know it's difficult but seems like some of them do not have any respect for other people.. Why should I pay to listen to that!

We have been a number of times before and usually enjoyed it. But last night it was very disappointing. There were 6 of us, 2 of whom were celebrating birthdays and I had put this information in the special requests section when making the booking. I had hoped someone might have picked this up. But no. We were a little early so decided to have a drink at the bar. Lack of staff meant we had to wait some time before being served as the bar tender was making cocktails for a large group of people. When we went to the table, why are the wine glasses removed before we have even had chance to look at the menu? The food was excellent, but the service was indifferent. We ordered starters and mains and then I had hoped for the offer of the birthday plates, but this had to be spelt out and it did not work out the way I had hoped - as a surprise. Also we had finished our coffees before these plates arrived! We mentioned about the members 25% of the meal at the start of the sitting, and guess what? it was not on the bill, so had to be reminded. Overall, I felt there was a lack of attention to detail. Good food but poor overall service.

Fist time was great food delicious & service really good.

Then I went for my birthday with friends .. it was very disappointing. Wine was awful ..

I ordered the Moroccan lamb .. it was very bland. Food took ages to arrive too.
