Electric Palace Todmorden Description
The Hippodrome opened in 1908 as a variety theatre presenting live theatre shows, often multiple performances in a day. From 1912 it began to show films as well until it was renamed The Hippodrome and Electric Palace and a full 'state of the art' projection and sound system installed. To celebrate this part of the Hippodromes history we have decided to call our new cinema The Electric Palace Cinema.
