Went to see the National Theatre production of Julius Caesar last Thursday. I've been to this cinema a good few times over the years and always find the staff polite and helpful. On this occasion the usherette told us that the play would be performed without a break, which was good to know.

Wanted to say a big thank you to Empire Wigan for making my sister's birthday extra special we all had such a lovely time and the little extras you gave us made my sister's night. Fantastic professional customer service. Thank you to Jenny who went out of her way 10 out of 10 Thank you.

People are often very quick to moan about bad customer service but not always as quick to say about the good. Not one but two of your staff members were really helpful today first of all when I was buying a small popcorn for my daughter the lady serving suggested I get a kids box as not only would I get the same size popcorn I would also get a drink and snack for cheaper than the cost of the small popcorn alone (I wasn’t aware of this until she told me and not many people do tell you about things like that) the second was a member of staff that held all the doors open for me and the three children I had with me whilst we had our hands full and also went to get booster seats for them and brought them up to our seats, the same member of staff also told us about the free ice cream that was available today again I wasn’t aware of this until she told me, small things like this remind people that there are still genuinely nice people out there

I just want to say a massive thank you to Chris and Lyndsey who were working last night. Myself and 6 friends were only 20 minutes into Fifty Shades when I got a phone call from my distressed Son in Spain telling me my husband had just been mugged. I was extremely upset in the foyer and Chris took me to sit down and got me some water. As my friends came out one by one to see what had happened, Lyndsey brought me a cup of tea and was checking how I was. My friends wouldn't leave me so we all missed the rest of the film. Before we left Lyndsey brought us over 7 tickets for us to come back again. That gesture meant so much and was really appreciated by us all. Massive thank you once again.

Came tonight watching Hereditary with a friend.

Went to buy our tickets, presented my CEA card to the guy behind the counter and paid for what I thought was our tickets.

Checked the receipt and discovered there was only one seat allocated.

Found the manager who got me a seat next to my friend and refused to charge me.

My friend bought himself a sundae and as we walked to the cinema screen he dropped his spoon at which another member of staff insisted on bringing him a fresh one.

Staff also held the doors open for us as we walked into the screen.

The staff were amazing tonight 10/10.

Brought my little boy here yesturday to watch peter rabbit no complaints, great customer service, helpful staff and overall very clean. The only thing is the hot tap in the ladies toliets is boiling hot there is signs up but needs sorting.

User

Been here several times over the years but on this occasion showed top notch customer service. My sister's and i were treated so well and made our night such a great experience. We were looked after so well by all staff especially Jenny and the special christian grey on the night. Couldn't fault anything. Brilliant staff. Thanks again

User

easy to get tickets, got upgraded to premium at no extra cost. food bit pricey but HEY, its a night out!! enjoy!!

User

Went to see star wars last night in 3d .. it was expensive for tickets and I couldn't believe the 3d glasses were NOT included in the ticket price. We were in screen 2 and it was half full i had to put my coat back on after about 20 mins as i felt cold and the ceiling lighting was not dimed enough in my opinion I had a light shinning straight down on me and it effected my view of the screen. The staff were very friendly and it was clean. There were some star wars characters in the foyer for photos when we came out of the film which was really good. I would go back.

User

The popcorn is very good but like the drinks a little overpriced - my first visit in many years I would like to become a regular visitor but the seating does me an upgrade not really comfy after the first hour but very clean very tidy and friendly staff

User

We always enjoy a night out at the flix.Last night we watched the follow up BladeRunner 2049....Not one to complain but as we sat on the back row in screen 3,the speaker to the right rear sounded like it was damaged and vibrating with the deep bass tones of the film soundtrack at times. Also the lighter areas in the film showed up the marks on the screen somewhat. Either needs cleaning or replacing....Still....I wouldn't let it deter me from future visits but just keep up on the maintenance please. 3/5

User

The seats could be comfier for the amount of time your sat there for in some films

User

Over priced. £7:10 for an tango ice blast and a bag of minstrels. Some of the chairs are ripped and have holes in. This was in number 8.

User

I really think the cinema should charge less to get more people through the door. First day of "everything everything" and there was 15 people watching. At £8.50 for an adult it's ridiculous. Why not charge £5 each and you would be full every show time.....and make a fortune on the snacks and nibbles!

User

I exclusively go to Wigan Empire because: A. It's the closest Cinema to me and B. It's actually the cheapest Cinema locally.

Hopefully one of these days they'll actually put in new seat, it's my main issue with the place. All of the seats should be the big comfy 'Premium' ones, and they should just toss the 'Standard' ones altogether, there's no price difference between them and it would make everyone happy.

The Food and Drink is expensive like most places but you can take your own stuff so no worries there.

The toilets do smell really badly but it's because the building and pipes are so old not because the toilets are unclean.

The staff are nice and friendly, if you need help there very accommodating. They'll often make small talk with you when you enter and leave your screen, which as an introvert I really hate, but other people might like, so you know to each there own.

The only reason I have ever had a bad experience at Empire is other people in the theatre being disruptive; mainly children or people opening food half way through.

User

Go quite a bit but cleanliness isn't it's best the toilets are always awful and drinks and snacks rather over priced, luckily you can take your own snacks and drinks shame though drop your prices chances are you make alot more !!

User

Took my little girl to the 11.10am showing of My Little Pony. Where we were sat I dropped my coat on the floor, when I picked it up it was wet and smelled of beer. That clearly tells me that it was spilled the previous night and had not been cleaned. Disgusting.

User

Today went to go see that jumanji movie at 13:50 with my mates and was the worst experience they need to sort the seating arragements out as some one online booked tickets but we payed for our tickets in-store and they were the same seats as the people who booked online it was sorted in end but it was not great as it was a full screen me and my mates normally always have a good time but today was not one off them sorry

User

First time myself and my friend visited this cinema as we was passing and dont live in the area! Customer service was appauling! Didnt get the staff members name who was serving us but was so Rude and un-friendly. We wanted a blue rasberry slush and he said quietly we ran out of the blue slush,we did not hear him so I simply asked for a blue mixed slush and he shouted I said once already we dont have that one.He was rushing us and we had a discount code and said sorry we have a 2 for 1 discount and he huffed under his breathe and said right I'll have to take this all of now like we worked there and should of known. Awful! Then to top it of sat shivering through the cinema with my scarf and coat on because inside the screening was that cold I had to sit on my fingers. You should not have to feel like that when paid good money to sit and watch a film you've been excited to watch!! Very disappointing will stick to ashton under lyne or Stockport next time.
