Saturday 18th August our local council organise the 'Rochdale Feel Good Festival' on the Town Hall square right outside our front doors, which once again will be amazing. This year on the same day inside the Empire, Packer Street, Rochdale, OL16 1NJ (right in the middle of the festival and opposite Rochdale Town Hall) we are hosting our own independent fringe festival: 'Festidale' Rochdale's Free Indoor Charity Music Festival. Showcasing all local live music and collecting donations for local charity 'Springhill Hospice' (Rochdale).
Doors open: 11am till 4am (11am: Everybody welcome / After 10pm: Strictly over 18's). *Please note: Under 16's must be accompanied by an adult

This place is excellent. Until the last Year or so I've not been out in Rochdale. Bad Rep and stuff. The Empire is a game changer. Lovely Staff, great Doormen, nice People...........oh and great music!! That's why I go. Keep it up! Best place in Rochdale.

My first night out in Rochdale in 25 years. Saw Wrong Jovi (Bon Jovi tribute band) and had a great night. Great venue - perfect size. Ridiculously cheap entry fee of £3 and even free before 9pm!! Drinks that aren't rip-off prices. Friendly people just out for a good time and Empire provided it. I'll certainly be back ���

Killerz - top class. Breath of fresh air, live music in Rochdale, no idiots allowed, top place. Like being in Western Bar in Benidorm for me! All about the live music! ������������

Fab night tonight with Complete Madness - they were brilliant. The place was packed and the atmosphere really bouncing - the DJ was brilliant too!! And free entry too (before 9). Best night out in the town!!

Cracking girls night out watching The ABBA Tribute last night for my second visit to The Empire. Friendly staff (shout out to Kieran behind the bar who remembered our round all night when we couldn’t !!!). Reasonably priced branded drinks, great atmosphere before and after the show will definitely be going again.

Brilliant venue! No idiots and a fantastic atmosphere. If you're a band looking for somewhere to play with an appreciative crowd (and usually large, even on a Sunday), great stage and phenomenal sound system, then I highly recommend playing here. Best of its kind!
