Long but rewarding night last night. There are some good but unfortunate people out on those streets. A reminder to be grateful for what you’ve got even when you think it’s not a lot. Alan Moz and his team are amazing human beings- doing what they do for no more reward than helping another human being along without judging them. You’ve gotta learn what these people have been through to understand why they’ve ended up out here. Keep up the good work guys! 😘

Our first outing with our homeless friends under our new name will be this Thursday evening 17th May under the food hall on Market St in Manchester town centre. We will have 3 chairs running from 19:30 onwards so if anyone has any homeless friends please send them down to see us 😉

2018 will be our last year trading as JAYS BARBERS MCR.
It’s been a tough decision but after almost 16 years we feel we’ve outgrown our original name so to coincide with the opening of our second salon in Unsworth- and before we represent BOOKSY on stage at the NEC on May 21st we will be re-branding to our new name EMPORIA Male Grooming. Thanks to our ever growing legion of faithful clients who’ve made this possible. More details to follow......Onwards and upwards 😘

Top quality barbers

Top place, great guys who do a great job with hair. So happy to have a place that cuts Afro/Mixed race hair that's within walking distance. Nice, swish looking shop that wouldn't look out of place in the Northern Quarter or Dalston!

Took our little boy for his first hair cut today... Jay was fab with him and did a great job! There were some tears but nothing Paw Patrol being put on the teles for him didn't help. Spenny looks super handsome and very grown up! Thank you!

Took my 3 year old here this morning. He doesn't enjoy getting his hair cut and finds it all a bit traumatic unless we've built up to it well... but after getting expanding foam stuck in his hair (don't ask!) and having to hack it out we had no choice but to make an emergency barbers visit. We have never been to Jay's before. There were a lot of tears and tantrums but the guys here were all so good with him. Really patient and accommodating and all tried to make him feel more comfortable and did a great job with very wriggly customer. He now tells me he loves having his hair cut! Would definitely recommend them.

The only place that have ever done a great job of cutting my little boys hair. Fantastic talented friendly staff and a great price. I will never go anywhere else from now.

Really love coming here for my autistic son. He never likes to have his hair cut and has always caused a drama, but he has no problem here at Jays and they are great with him.

Quality hair stylist made my hair look great and I thought that was an impossibility! Top man .

My son doesn't like having his hair butttt he loved it hear. Not going any where else again. Plus great hair cut an that's coming for a hairdresser �� defo 5����� xx

Jay has been cutting my hair for over 20yrs. He is great with kid's, my two boy's look forward to going & would go every week if they could. A real professional!

Jay has been cutting my hair for nearly 25 years and i wouldnt go anywhere else! Jay and his staff are all really helpful and always look after their customers. I cant recomend them highly enough. The shop looks great and the haircuts are always 10/10.

I may be a tad on the biased side as I spend the majority of my time here- but I don't think I would be exaggerating if I said this place is the bees knees.
