Its time to talk about your BRAND.
How do you develop your own brand, style, voice? We'll look at some great examples, from Etsy's own branding, to the team's design, with the help of EtsyMCR Leader (and our brand designer) Adam Clark Photography plus teamies who've worked hard to create a distinctive, recognisable style.
NB: We're no longer holding our regular socials at our former home MadLab, as they've now relocated to PLANT NOMA. There's plenty of parking nearby and it's very close to Victoria Station/Shudehill.

The 22 Bees Project has begun! The ladies have started working their way around Greater Manchester drawing beautiful bees all over the windows of local businesses, all to raise money for the Emergency Fund. Follow their page to see more of their progress and to make your donation. ❤️🐝

Our friends at MadLab are offering support for un(der) employed women in Manchester to learn new skills. The closing date has been extended until tomorrow morning 11th May so you've still got time to apply!

This sounds like such a great idea! A group of Etsy makers have started their own campaign to cut down on plastic waste. Greetings cards are often posted in cellophane sleeves, which seems totally unnecessary when they're in perfectly clean envelopes.
Support the campaign by liking their page Naked Cards and find out ways to swap plastic for eco-friendly alternatives, or why not go totally NAKED?

Over the weekend we visited Manchester Print Fair at Manchester Cathedral and had a fab time spotting EtsyMCR teamies and strolling around the Cathedral, enjoying the beautiful light streaming in through the stained glass windows.

This month, we're back at our usual location of MadLab!
Dean Clark, hypnotherapist at Discover Hypnosis and sales expert is coming down to talk to us about the psychology behind why people buy products, the power of storytelling and the use of hypnotic language that goes into selling a product. We'll also learn ways to gain rapport with people, how to keep their attention and get those valuable on-the-day sales at events!
Our thanks to Team Leader Adam Stuart Clark for reco...mmending Dean (there may be a family connection!) to help us learn some sales techniques. We've all heard stories from teamies about how difficult it is to make those in-person sales and project self-confidence.
As always, some drinks and snacks will be provided but it's always nice to share, so feel free to bring a few nibbles along. Free entry thanks to our lovely hosts MadLab.
