We've just had an amazing holiday at Les Tropiques in Torreilles, France! We had 10 fantastic days there and from the moment I arrived with my husband and 2 sons, I felt completely at ease with the place, the facilities and the people that ran the campsite. Our caravan was ideal and if we needed anything, it was very easy to ask as the reps Charlie and Kyle - Ann were very helpful and informative. We as a family would definitely recommend this holiday!

User

We returned a week ago from Eurocamp Hourtin Plage! Our Azure cabin was brand new, bright and modern and the complex was great, the water park and pools were brilliant and the restaurant was great! Great atmosphere, food and service! Pauline in the restaurant made our holiday, she So great with our twin daughters! This was our first Eurocamp holiday and it won’t be our last! We would love to return to Hourtin Plage one day and visit more of your Eurocamp sites! We had a transfer hiccup before we left the UK which we had booked from Bordeaux airport to carry my Fiancé’s surfboard and us and when the transfer company let us down Eurocamp went out of their way to help and hired us a car free of charge as a means of compensation! There were no hitches from start to finish! Well done Eurocamp and thank you for a lovely family holiday!

User

Just returned from La Garangeoire...although we didnt book with Eurocamp..shock..we used Al Fresco..we were able to use the children's Club..Can i first praise the Club..it really helped make my children's holiday. The Childrens courriers were all fabulous and worked really hard ensuring everyone was happy..not just the children but the whole family. Calin was tremendous!! Along with the other reps but just wanted to praise them to you!!

Another excellent holiday with Eurocamp at camping bel in France. Reading some of the negative reviews on here I felt it only fair to redress the balance. The whole point of a eurocamp holiday is surely to be the opposite of a package holiday. So yes, you might get bugs in your accommodation, it might not be spotless as you are on a camp site and you might not have all your creature comforts and may not be waited on by your reps. But that’s part of the charm. You get left alone to do things in your own time and at your own pace and with your own space. No mass sit down meals / all you can eat buffet, but a chance to explore for yourself. Personally we were well treated by all the staff on site when we needed, but for the majority of the time enjoyed taking care of ourselves. If you are capable of looking after yourselves and happy to unwind then you will love the experience. If not, maybe it’s not the holiday for you. But that’s no fault of eurocamp.

Stayed as a couple in and Esprit at Camping Grotte de Roffy in the Dordogne. The chalet was one of the 'older' types, and very 'tired'. The reps were very good. The double bed mattress was very thin, but my biggest 'gripe' is about the pillows - they were USELESS. They were so old and thin, they couldn't possibly be called 'pillows'. We 'robbed' the bunk beds (thankfully we didn't have any children with us!) of their 'pillows' (equally poor in quality) and with three "pillows" each, we still couldn't get a comfortable night's sleep. I agree with other comments on here too about the surfaces being clean, but the cutlery, crockery and glasses all needed washed - we had been warned about this by friends, so had come prepared with antibac spray and plenty of washing up liquid! Apart from that, I would like to reiterate that the reps at Roffy are superb and very hard working - they had a lot of chalets and a high turn over. I know some of the chalets were left in a bad state too. (We left ours a lot cleaner than we found it!). Would we use Eurocamp again? Possibly - but we would take our own bed linen and pillows in future!!!

This is the 4th time we have holidayed in France. Previous 3 times have been with Alfresco and Lifestyle. Decided to use Eurocamp as have 3 children under 5 and wanted a campsite not too far from Calais. I will never use you again. Worst mobile home we have ever stayed in, in UK or France! So out dated I’m surprised you even hire them out! Too many problems to list on here. Main ones being how dirty it was, mouse droppings under bed and my husband was scalded in the shower as the temperature of the shower kept changing. Lucky it wasn’t one of the children in there. We were one of many families that were not happy. Swimming pool was nice which is why I have given 2 stars. Very angry that we spent our hard earned money to stay in unacceptable accommodation.

User

Staying in park playa Barà, south of Barcelona.

Paid for and azure compact,

We may have the worst positioned van in the site, compared to the other Azure compacts B8-8

Staff helpful but after 6 days we still do not have instant hot water as the boiler does not kick in, the staff “are looking at it but nothing seems to be actioned”. The double bed duvet has staines all over it from previous guests, the main bedroom has a king size bed but you have to walk side ways to get around the bed. The kitchen has ok kit a nice big fridge.

The site is ok, apart from lack of sun beds around the pool and a lot broken, they have space for more beds but not invested the pool does get very busy and you can’t swim.

Theatre entertainment is good in the evening.

Would I return NO

Would I use a Eurocamp again NO

Not value for money they need to loose my van or the neighbours

I would like a reply from Northwich head office.

Having travelled with Eurocamp last year I did not hesitate to use them again this year, can’t say I will be doing it again. Having just completed a 10 night stay at Duinrell in Holland I would make the following observations:

1. Caravan was infested with ants and mice. No amount of cleaning helped and staff disinterested

2. Caravan filthy when we arrived - a surface clean had been done but inside cupboards there was sweetie wrappers and rubbish

3. No site information available on arrival as the rep was waiting on new maps being printed

3. Pull out bed was broken and had large nails sticking out, not safe for staying with 4 children

4. Sun loungers were broken but “propped” together, so fell apart when you sat on them

5. No eurocamp run activities on site and we advised to use the Duinrell clubs - 3 children walked out of kids club, unchallenged (because they were bored) and not one member of staff noticed or stopped them

6. Kids disco lasted 20 minutes and took place at the end of the bar around other pub users

7. Final insult was the lack of procedure around disabled access at the theme park. Each attendant had their own way of working e.g either you were allowed in first to get the child on the ride before general admission, or you were completely ignored or as happened on the last day, my daughter was unable to access the rides as the attendant decided that one adult and 2 children was too many to use the disabled access and both children were too young to go on/queue by themselves . Very sad 7 year old. A formal procedure needs to be communicated and some consistency amongst staff for visitors.

Overall poor impression and staff were very unhelpful and disinterested.

Had a fabulous stay in marina di Venezia campsite. Could not recommend it enough! However eurocamp staff made no effort with us ( or others that we spoke to) and when we made a mistake and needed an extra night at the park we were told it wasn’t their problem and there was nothing they could do. Absolutely no empathy for us standing there with a 7, 3, 9 month old with no idea where we were going to stay an extra night. They totally were not bothered.

All of this I gave feedback to them about while we we there. They left us on our final booked in night feeling anxious and worried about where we were going to sleep the next night even though their camp site was half empty.

9am the next morning it was all sorted in ten minutes but I was very disappointed with their care and the way they tarnished our last night with friends.

Marina Di Venezia fantastic campsite but I would use a different agency in the future.

User

Staying here just two weeks. Very dissappointed in the service provided by eurocamps. Came here as it was recommended but due to the experience I had I won't be passing the recommendation on. You were happy to take the money off us which I feel we been over charged considering the service we received. The caravan is outdated. The decking has gaps in it which the chair falls down and my child had a accident with this issue, the caravan wasn't very clean when we received it. After nine days here and been in the pool numerous of times in shorts which caused no problem and been in the pool for over 5 hours I went to go on a water slide with my 12 year old daughter and we were refused due to my shorts I had on. So I went back to the pool and after 20 minutes the lifeguard came back to me and told me I had to leave the pool. I tried to explain i had been in the pool all day in the same pair of shorts and she didn't want to listen. She told me I had to leave or she will call the police. She then called a manager from eurocamps over when I explained to him what had happened he told me it had nothing to do with him and to leave the pool or she would call the police. I left the pool and went back to the caravan with my 12 year old crying thinking the police were coming for me. I went back to eurocamps rep to make a compliant which they weren't interested in and told me to go to the main reception of the site to make a compliant. I spent the last 4 days of my holiday with a 12 year old afraid to go back to the swimming pool and I've never been on a holiday until now where I can't wait to get out of the resort and go home. I am very disappointed with the service or more the lack of service I've received from your company. Any body who read a this I have posted on eurocamps page

Stayed at de la valley campsite in Normandy, France. Read great reviews and not having stayed before was looking forward to it, caravan was infested with cockroaches, floors were filthy, bedding smelled horrendous, luckily we bought our own sheets so used them.... kids clubs were a carry on movie sketch..... nothing seemed to work, or u que’d for hours in the sun for a 5 minute turn on something.... really disappointed, won’t be booking again, not good value for money at all.

Didn’t complain whilst here as didn’t want to upset our children... aged 6 and 2 tried to make the best of an awful situation, will be mentioning our concerns as we check out tomorrow, honestly counldt see how complaining would have changed our stay.... we just counted down days until our departure.

Would like a response from Eurocamp.

User

Stayed at La Croix du Vieux Pont and the site itself is ok, it has a lot of facilities and location is ok but the facilities are all dirty, and there is a lack of service, most of staff looked and spoke like they did not want to or care about being there. The pool was extensive, but again very unclean. However the park, lakes and river make for a nice surrounding.

We booked a Eurocamp classic 2 bed (2 adults and 2 kids) as a short stay heading back from a longer break in the alps, and I have to say in all my years both working in the travel industry and also holidaying I have never stayed in such disgusting accommodation. It stank of stale cigarettes, mold and detol (used in attempt to cover up the smoke and mold). The mattresses were all stained and uncomfortable, the pillows might as well have had cannon balls in them, they were that lumpy and hard. There was mold all over the ceiling and the floor was broken and badly creaked with every step. There was no outside cover, and our pitch was squeezed in a corner with another static caravan, with no privacy.

There was no more space on site and because it was late and we had just driven 7hrs we had to endure, but never again.

I know we were a short break and classic accommodation, but I am amazed that Eurocamp are able to sell or market accommodation in this standard, it has to be a health hazard and was absolutely disgusting. If you must go to this site for a holiday DO NOT RISK Eurocamp facilities.

I had, whilst never been with Eurocamp always assumed they stood for a certain quality and service, but my perception has been completely blown by this experience and I have stayed in much, much better with other suppliers.

User

If I could give 0 stars I would!! I would never ever recommend eurocamp to anyone!!! First time booking and certainly the last. Upon arrival, no baby items - with a 2 year old and 9 month old this proves difficult at bedtime. So first night I had 3 children in my bed. 2nd day I find a rep and ask where the baby items are. Receive a dirty travel cot with holes in the netting - a highchair with no straps or tray ( massively ideal for a baby !!) And no baby bath... Checked the 'kids bedroom' and found bugs all over the one bed, floor and window ledge. Day 3 went and found a rep to let them know I needed a different highchair and baby bath and of the bug issue. Later that day someone came round, changed the highchair and brought a baby bath - bug issue, well that's just mosquitoes but they'll bring some repellent round. Day 4 someone came round to check lights as they are flickering, again I mentioned the bug issue - he agreed it was in his words 'vile' and that they were flying ants - not mosquitoes. I was told someone would be round to clean it all n get it suitable for the kids to actually sleep in there. Day 5 (today) no-one has been round, haven't seen a rep unless I've had to go out looking for them and STILL bugs in the bedroom!!!!!! Believe me when I say it is not comfortable sleeping in a bed with and 8 year old and a 2 year old. I will add pictures too. I'm absolutely disgusted by my experience and quite frankly cannot wait to get on my flight home tomorrow!!!!!!

User

I am currently staying in the Duinrell Site in Wassanar, Holland.

I am writing this at 4am as I cannot sleep due to the Mice...YES MICE...running around the mobile home and scratching.

My children are terrified and want to go home in the morning. We still have 4 days left of our holiday.

I have stayed in Haven and Canvass Holiday homes previously and they were exceptional. This place is disgusting, with a tiny living space thats meant to accommodate 8 people.

Espirit model. We have no bin for waste, shower curtain a fabric one which falls down on your head every time you shower, shower head leaking.

Only one oven tray in the oven to cook for 7 people. We also have 3 pots to cook with but only one lid. 3 out of 4 burners work on the hob. No microwave or toaster. Basic items. Even the lousy tin opener is broken!

Front door is broken, keeps getting stuck. Outside area covered in nettles my 4 year olds little legs are destroyed. Cant let him play out there.

There is no air con so it is sweltering inside but we can't leave the windows open as mosquito nets on Windows are ripped off so all the bugs come in.

I have mentioned the above to the staff and was told.....'yes we know, we're short all round on those types of things'.

Eurocamp is the most expensive caravan park I've used but has the worst caravan I've ever stayed in. Duirnell site is beautiful and activities are amazing.

I would recommend you book another company to come here, as Eurocamps standards are rock bottom.

You most certainly do not get what is advertised.

User

Currently staying at a campsite in France with Eurocamp and we are so utterly disappointed with the holiday home itself particularly how dirty it is. Although to look at when we arrived it looked clean we did find a few ants and some spots where the holiday home wasn’t spotless but overlooked it. However today, on day two, we have woken to find ants crawling all over the kids bunk beds and the clothes in their room. We started to clean ourselves and can say the dirt and old food we have found under the kids bunk bed is revolting. When we lifted one of the mattresses there was what looked like an old piece of fruit which had attracted so many ants. Under the spare bed in the living room is a collection of dirt and old cornflakes which clearly hasn’t been cleaned in weeks at the very least. So utterly disappointed. Eurocamp, the photos are on hand should you be interested.

User

Currently staying at Park Albatros in Tuscany. The Eurocamp mobile homes are pretty dire. Really old & dated. Our mobile home reeks of mildew & mould plus found a few ants in the bedroom! The rep said it was a problem under the mobile home & that was that. The Eurocamp reps on the site are pretty useless, all very young & keep themselves to themselves. We’ve used Canvas Holidays & Alfresco before, much better companies & I’d advise booking with them. You need to up your game Eurocamp & offer mobile homes at Park Albatros at a big discount as they are not worth £1000+ per week!

User

Currently on day 5 of 12 and so far we’ve had an oven glove with such a large hole my wife burned her hand, no workable Mosquito nets on the windows (all broken), a Bed that breaks every time you sit on it (the slats fall out), a Bedside light so badly positioned that my wife bangs her head every 5 minutes, the bluntest Knives, a Can opener that’s so broken you can’t open a can with it, the dirtiest Dishwasher I’ve ever used and the pre-book toddler items completely forgotten, which includes having the lodge with the broken gate and no child safety screen (with a toddler). Stayed in La Braume last year and it was great but La Vallée is really not up to par and will be taking this complaint further

User

Currently at Domaines les Ormes in Brittany and was having a great time until Eurocamp representatives stole 2 bags of shopping out of our caravan as we were changing over yesterday. I am now in a position where I am having to ‘prove’ how much the shopping was worth and whilst staff on site have been empathetic - there has been no gesture to demonstrate their apology and so far customer relations have been rude and unhelpful.

Be careful if you stay here - we are so upset and disappointed in the customer care!

User

Appalling state of accommodation at Le Baume, we have busted this site on and off for over 20 years !! No problems prior to this , we had the Aspect mobile home , 3Bed , filthy , inside and out , outside cushions were disgusting , BBQ revolting , staff so young not interested in helping or even trying , just making statements like " I'm sorry your disappointed " .

Asked for another caravan as we were six adults with one lounger yet the caravan two doors down had far more decking space , this was to be given to a family with two small children , I’m sure you appreciate that this is better matched to 6 adults , changed over but the accommodation was still grubby , finger prints in all the cupboards , stains everywhere and generally just dirty , my first job was cleaning , after travelling 10,000 miles l wasn’t keen !! The reps came down whilst we were swapping over ( we did this in 10 minutes ) more concerned for the family who had just arrived !! No , senior staff came at any stage to check if we were satisfied !!

Lost power for hours at night , did not even bring us a torch , in fact we were left to our own devices , most helpful !! We were left sitting in the dark with zero communication as to what was happening and if this was going to be repaired !!

Having travelled all the way from Australia the $6,500 for just the accomodation , we could have stayed in accommodation that was of a better quality but wanted to come back with our adult children who had enjoyed the site for years , enjoy the photos that have been taken , its incredibly embarrassing for Eurocamp but it is a true advert of what the best money can buy is , dissatisfied with the really appalling service , accommodation and thoroughly disappointed !!

Come on Eurocamp it's time to employ staff that take some pride and are a little more responsible and accountable for their work !!

Take this as my official complaint , please send me details of where and who to send a hard copy with all photos and evidence .
