No problems here for me, the guy who dealt with me behind the counter was great, explained any questions I had, the price was ok and i got my car in approx 25 minutes from leaving the terminal.5 minutes to return it with no hassles either.

I had great customer service from Manchester Airport Europcar.

I had expected a Ford Focus but was given a Mercedes. This car was a dream to drive.

I've used Europcar many times over the years in England Ireland and back home in Australia. I'd highly recommend Europcar . There pricing is always lower than there competitors.

I always use Europcar when I travel back to the UK. Once the booking is made they have all the paperwork sorted before I collect my car and it is a quick 5 minutes before I am on my way. They always have the car of choice for me and the staff are always so pleasant and courteous. A first class service always.

Great rental, one of the cheapest at the airport, i booked through the rentalcar app. All was ready when i arrived. I had the option of the 0 waiver to pay but as i had done it through rentalcars already in chose not to. The guy on reception was really friendly and helpful. Easy to drop off afterwards. And the rental village buses are every 10 mins from each terminal. Will use again of needed.

Although we had to wait the gentleman who dealt with us was great and even gave us a discount and an upgrade. This was at Manchester Airport. At Leeds airport again the man who served us was very good but they only had a Renault Megane, which turned out to have a fuel gauge that wasn't working and then the key card battery showed low, also there had been rubbish left in the car. We'd had the car for a few days and were not happy. On calling Leeds they suggested we took it to the nearest Europcar outlet, which was Manchester Aiirport. Once there they could see I was upset because my Mum is in hospital, very poorly, and I felt I had to waste time changing the car. Anyway, the staff couldn't have been nicer and we got the car we originally wanted, a Fiat 500X, upgraded free to an automatic and a Sat Nav. We had hired a car from Manchester in May and again we were very happy with the service, car and cost. The deposit was held for a few days on my credit card but then disappeared, so there was no problem there. I have used Europar for several years and wouldn't change.

A very slick, smooth experience. Staff were pleasant, efficient, polite and friendly. System seems to work very well. Car was perfect for my purposes and slightly larger than expected. All very good and, as a car hire broker of some 30 years standing, Europcar continues to live up to the recommendations I give to my clients.

I'm surprised reading all these negative comments about Europcar. This is the second time I've used them; first time they were fine, this time they were great!



My time at the desk for pickup was a bit longer than 'usual', however because I wasn't in any rush I continued being checked in with a 'newish' member of their staff. Yes, it took that bit longer, but so what? I appreciated the fact that Dave who dealt with me needed extra time to understand and gain experience with Europcar's computerised system.



All in all I found their service very good and I'd definitely use them again.

Long wait to get car, when I checked it against the sheet not all scuffs and scratches had been recorded. I went back to the Hire counter but most staff had vanished and there was a long line waiting. Rather than waste more time I took the car as it was. Fortunately there was no difficulty when I returned the car 2 weeks later: the returns person was quick, and pleasant, with no problem about the suitcase scuffs on the trunk lip. The car was an Astra, not the Toyota booked, but fine for what I wanted to do. Use Europcar at Manchester Airport again? Maybe....

Do not rent from this company Interent! Sister company of Europcar. I rented a car from Manchester Airport, was not told about "Road assistance premium" but was charged for it after I returned the car it was billed to my card, all that was said to me was if you need help call the number on the Keyring.

Trying to contact Europcar Manchester Airport by phone. They are supposedly open 24 hours a day but no-one answering. We have been involved in an accident and so far no-one has been prepared to do anything to help, apart from insurers who have agreed to collect the car but not arrange a replacement. So not impressed.

My husband had to return to the uk urgently so once again hired from this company..we have a yearly insurance policy which we have had no problems with before with them..the lady behind the counter said they didn't recognize this and pressured him into paying for extra insurance..6days after returning the car which was inspected by Marta and no damage reported 267 pounds was deducted from our account, the hire car cost was 107 pounds..disgusted with the pressure tactics used by the staff ..we return to the uk frequently and will reconsider using this company in the future..

I literally tried probably every single known car rental company but what I experienced with Europcar during my holiday.

When I received car they nearly didn't mark any scratch so I needed to tell them what to mark and they repeatedly responded as they got another customer waiting that they are aware of all scratches on the car and it does not need to be in invoice at all as it is only a document for the office. So finally when I received a vehicle where I had to pressure them to do their job properly i could go and take my car from the airport.

When I returned vehicle back, suddenly they got all free time of the world and inspected car so properly and they discovered small scratch which I was not aware why it was not marked in the paper and charged me whole $1000 / £733 without any explanation. One of guys told me, do not worry only very small fee will be charged from your account, just sign this here ok? Minutes ago, £733 was being hold from my account so i returned back why whole amount has been taken from my account and he said ''read our policy and do not bother me as I m waiting for another customer''... so really? seriously?

Sent already two mails and never got respond from you!!!! Can't even get proper explanation from you! Never ever. Go Enterprise, or some one else, but never ever Europ

Horrible service through the entire company. Was made to pay an additional $1,400 because they didn’t have the car I paid for? I made a complaint and funds were than credited back to me with no email to confirm the outcome of the complaint. Now I have been debited nearly $1,000 with no email or approval from me to do so. Your company is beyond a joke. I have sent through a second email complaint and want this to be fixed within the next 24 hours not the next 7 days. You really do deserve a 0 star rating.



I’m more than happy to take this further if required but I will never use or recommend you company to anyone who is travelling.

Hired last October. Gave the car back in as I received it. Seen from my bank they had took 300 something pounds. I’d come back to the UK for a bereavement and was still struggling with that so decided not to pursue the money back.



Hired again last month as I was in a rush I stupidly chose europcar again. Guy told me he would do me a good deal and give me 40% off a Volvo as I explained what happened last time. Upon returning the vehicle I was charged just short of £700 for 8 days rental. The guy had put on £350 worth of insurance, roadside assistance and charged £155 for half a tank of fuel. None of this was mentioned to me at point of sale.



I have emailed a couple of weeks ago but don’t seem to be getting anywhere. Guy on the phone said they can only go off the signature. If this is true, they are encouraging their staff to deceive people as long as they get a signature. No accountablility even being considered for neglecting to tell customers information they have a legal right to know.



If somebody can contact me with a resolution - daniel(at)transausgroup(dot)com I will happily post something positive about this being resolved.



Dont know if I’ll be holding my breath looking at other similar reviews.

Do not rent with this company. Do not give them your credit card details. They overcharge (perhaps intentionally) and then intentionally make it difficult to process the refund, which takes weeks to process. During this time they charge your card twice more, and then the refund is short anyway. The worst customer service. My advice would just be to go with a more reputable company that cares about their customers.

Do not rent from Europcar. They will sneakily add on car breakdown assistance insurance without discussing it with you and hope you are too jetlagged to notice. If you call and complain they fob you off asking you to email customer services, who of course do not reply. DO NOT USE IF YOU DON'T WISH TO BE ROBBED

Customer service absolute dross. Wee guy standing with a clipboard doing the equivalent job of a sign, looks like the kid from about a boy. Been standing her 2 hours, he's went for 3 toilet breaks & we've still not been served. Will not be back, I would have been quicker walking home.

Beware! Thiefs! Fraudster! Once they start talking they start to rip u off!



Pre Book and paid for a Car size of Golf, Astra Including second driver, fully comp insurance etc over the ADAC as I am a member and get special rates! When served we've been offered a upgrade for another £40/day. We declined only to be offered a upgrade to a brand new Vauxhall Insigna for only £20/day extra! Declined again and ask just to be given our car to be told we only booked a Car the Size of a Peugeot 208. Been ask to wait a second as they just seen that we pre booked over a big Businesspartner(the ADAC) and could actually have the Insigna for only £10 more a day! We considered that a good offer and I asked if it would only be these additional £10 or if there would be any additional charges! Was told only these £10/day and keeping all the pre booked insurance etc! Was advised that they would have to authorise £309,98 from the credit card, consisting of £100 upgrade costs and a deposit of £209,98, to be returned at the end of the rental! We got the keys after signing a piece of paper not being explained one single bit more then please sign here and here. Today we received the invoice and had a massive shock! Looks like they cancelled the pre paid booking, set up a complete new rental agreement with a new basic rate, cost for the upgrade, charged for 3 extra days (we kept the car exactly the 10 days we booked it for and even returned it 2 hours early), insurance package premium, Roadside Assistance and a additional driver! Rung Europcar Customer Services just to be told they won't help or even explain me the invoice as I have pre booked over another company.



So like i Said! Beware! Thiefs! Fraudsters! if you consider booking your car with this company from this station DO NOT do it and go somewhere else!
