Are you chasing DOMS (delayed onset of muscle soreness) whilst training?
In some sort of way, the feeling of DOMS is kinda nice, it makes you feel like you’ve worked hard! But is it a true indicator of an intense session and should you base your training intensity around it?
Absolutely not...
... If you’re solely searching for the post workout soreness, you could do a relatively easy session, not eat, drink or sleep that day and you’ll be sore as hell the next!
That’s just under recovering though, which has no benefit.
If you know you put a lot of effort into your session and you’re recovering well, then DOMS the next day should be irrelevant.

What are Macronutrients?
The 3 (4 if you include alcohol) building blocks of everything you eat and drink.
We have:
... - Protein; roughly 4 calories per gram, found in meats, beans, seeds and fish
- Carbohydrate; roughly 4 calories per gram, found in grains, vegetables and fruit
- Fats; roughly 9 calories per gram, they make up oils and butter and can be found in eggs, fish, meats and some vegetables (avocado is a good one)

- Energy; coffee contains caffeine which is a stimulant (I’m sure you’re aware). Can be helpful on those days when you’re a little sleepy 💤

- Helps people get along better with coworkers (no, seriously, there’s been a study on it 😂)

We’re just over half way through our Evo Lift schedule, another couple of weeks and we’ll start to see a big improvement in strength gains as the rep ranges drop lower.
Is there such thing as a “superfood”?
Well, it depends on how you’re defining it.
There are foods that a superior in nutrient content to others.
... For example, a handful of mixed berries would have a much wider range of vitamins and minerals than a chicken breast.
However, if you’re after protein, then the chicken breast would trump the berries 🤷🏻♂️
So, it depends how you’re looking at it and what you’re after.
Go for a wide variety of foods and you’ll probably cover most bases, balance ☯️
