we went to visit on Easter Monday with My 4 year old and 8 year old we had a fab time at Farmer Ted's plenty to do even if the weather wasn't the best this didnt spoil our day. The Willy Wonka show was fantastic and both my children have asked to go back again soon. Food in the restaurant was very good quality and good value for money.

User

Went yesterday for the big bounce event with my little boy and nephew we had an amazing time on all the inflatable rides, go karts, slides, even the maze was fun missed seeing a few of the animals this time around as there was so much on that we only caught the bird show and got to pet the guinie pigs and the reptiles can’t wait to come back again and have a go on the barrel ride another thing we kept missing due to having so much fun. Thanks for a great day 👍

User

We wanted something new to do and travelled an hour each way. Wasn't disappointed. We came with a 14 year old a 9 year old and our 11 year old autistic son. We stroked the animals went in the maze went on the bouncy castle played on the inflatable pillows played on the snake swing sat on the giant chair visited the reptil she'd played on the zip wire went on the go carts played on the climbing frames went on the tractor ride (sang along to the cheesy songs) went on the barrel ride ran around and played chase on the balcony of the indoor playbarn went on the indoor soft play went through the huge slides brushed a pony got an ice cream and fizzy pop had a picnic in the sunshine played on the mini tractors had a full fun packed day so I don't no why all the negative comments I don't no if they haven't ever been to a farm before but we saw all the usual farm animals cows horses pigs goats chicks lamas reindeer ferrets ginea pigs rabbits and being a sensible person we didn't expect the animals to be doing back flips and cartwheels. They were just being animals either coming over for a stroke or snoozing the day away..... the staff are all friendly and helpful it's absoloutly spotless for £40 entry for a family of five unless ur Scrooge or think ur royalty and entitled then u can't really moan. Fab day out. Only downside is I can't upload a video my son made about the ant colonoy (yes an ant colony on a farm!) as he wanted to show the farm people.

User

We turned up winging it, 50/50 as to what it'd be like. Half of me thought it'd be ok, the other half expecting the usual "if I wanted to see a messy farmyard and some junk machinery I'd have stayed home with you" telling off from the wife. Totally exceeded expectations to the point of amazement. Cheap to get in, good food at fair prices, to be fair there's no inflated prices for nothing, all fair. Obviously big capital outlay in farm buildings and infrastructure, top notch tidy play equipment for the little one. Animals well kept and well fed, the owners of this set up are good examples of the people who produce the nations food to the highest standards. Spent all day there with our 2 1/2 year old, went on the tractor ride, it's free, good for people who've never been on a tractor and trailer before, but will obviously bore adults. But what do people expect? Recommend axles on trailer be upgraded to 10 stud commercial with super single wheels to accommodate the morbidly obese dobbers we seemed to be penned in with, the little ford was struggling a bit. Really good was the abundance of picnic tables etc for people to bring their own food too. really good place for people unfamiliar with farming to get a taste of it, without pushing the issue on people at all, nice and subtle. Would liked to have seen more of the cattle in the surrounding fields on the tractor ride, but there's only so much you can practically work in to a farming/ tourism enterprise before it goes naff. Had a better time here than Chester zoo, we got in, fed ourselves and had cups of tea and ice creams etc at farmer teds for the same money as Chester zoo's entry fee alone. Cleanliness and plenty of toilet facilities was a good point too. Really surprised, it is what it is, and doesn't claim to be anything else.

Visited for the first time today with a friend and 5 children between us! Blown away by the farm and staff. We stayed from 10.30 am until 5pm and barely sat still for a minute. Endless fun to be had, fantastic customer care, amazing entertainment, amazing food at a great price, high level animal care and welfare and unbelievable facilities!!! Perfect day out in all weathers. Can’t remember the last time I laughed as much as I did watching the superhero’s run around and entertain the kids! Will definitely return in the summer holidays and will make this attraction top of my list for for a family Christmas visit. Only point I would make is that the website didn’t accurately reflect today’s entry fee’s and I prefer to be able to fully plan financially for a day out, however the fee paid in my opinion was great value and I would pay the same again. My new favourite place which I will recommend to all my friends and family! Well done Farmer Ted

User

Visited Farmer Ted's today with my boys (9&7) for the first time and they loved it. Lots to do on the various play frames, sand pit, go karts, tractor ride and then the scheduled animal educationals. Could of been more interaction for the kids like touching smaller animals but that's the only thing. They really enjoyed it and that's the main thing. The birds of prey was exceptionally good and the handler was great answering the kids questions.

We had the bonus of nice weather but even if its wet there's a lot to do inside. We will be coming back for sure.

User

I bring my almost 3 year old nephew here regularly and trust me it never gets boring.

The main barn contains motorised trucks (which he loves) you get ages on them for just £1... they also have massive slides for free in and around the park.

The animals are a must see... with baby piglets being a regular favourite for my nephew.

Then for the jumping pillows! He adores them!!! Safety is a priority at farmer teds with soft chippings around the pillows and health and safety rules clearly displayed on both pillows (a small one and a large one)

The maze is great fun (although I got lost a few times) the friendly staff are on hand to help though.

The food at the restaurant is reasonably priced and the toddler menu is a great idea... the free soft play area in the restaurant is amazing (a small one for toddlers and a large one for over 4s)

If anyone has any questions please feel free to ask on this review. I've recommended farmer teds to many people and will continue to do so.... this place gets even better each time.

User

Haven't been here in a long time now my boy is 15 but now got a little girl 2yrs. Had a go on the Gokarts again which took me back...nice memories from previous visits years ago. Was really impressed with how its been improved without becoming too expensive. Lots of variety for little ones.

User

Had my daughter's 5th birthday party here today. I cannot recommend it enough. All the children had a fantastic time despite the awful weather. Food was lovely, very reasonable prices per head for the party guests and Taylor our party leader was brilliant and could not do enough for us. We will be booking our next party here!

User

Great little place this, especially as their adding things like the bouncing pillows and mazes on top of an already good attraction with all the animals.

My sons favourite thing are where they put the hamsters or guineapigs into the barrel to be petted by the kids.

User

For the cost of admission, this place is great and we had a really fun day despite the freezing cold weather. We saw the piglets suckling, a cow being milked, ferrets racing and we got to stroke the ferrets, chicks, guinea pigs, horses, boa constrictor, bearded dragon, and a cockroach (yuck!). The grandkids played on push along tractors, zip wire, bouncing pillows and the soft indoor play area. Food was reasonably priced and the staff were super friendly, taking plenty of time to explain about the animals and ensuring all the kids (and adults) got time to stroke the animals. We only intended to stay an hour or two due to the cold but ended up staying 5 hours. There were still more things to do and we’ll definitely be back.

User

First time visitors and we will be back. It was a lovely sunny day and fairly quiet so easy for my little girl to play.

Loved all the animals and the talks about them. My little girl got the chance to feed the guinea pigs and safe to say we wanted to steal a few!

Food was probably the best I’ve eaten on a day out, freshly cooked and delicious.

Staff very friendly and welcoming.

Wish some of the talks were on more as we didn’t get to them all but even so an enjoyable day out.

User

Fantastic place! I went with my two boys, aged 7 and 2. This was our first visit and both had an amazing time and want to go back again. The superheroes show was great, very interactive, the boys loved it! The range of activities and the demonstrations we put on was also vast, fabulous staff and a great day out, highly recommend!

User

Celebrated my sons 2nd Birthday Today and have to say it was a fantastic party, our host was great and all the staff were extremely kind with the young children. Great value for money, absolutely nothing to complain about! Biggest hit was the toboggans, we loved them! Haven’t been for 6 years, love the revamp

I’m sure we will be back for MANY more parties! Thank you

User

Came yesterday for the 2nd time with my 3 1/2 year old Grandson, it only coz £10 and there is so much to do for that price.

Massive bouncy pillows which were 'the best ever'

Pony grooming

Talk & ferret race

Birds of pray show which was superb

Sand area under cover with diggers & plenty of toys buckets/spades to go around

Soft play

Go karts

Play ground outside

Tractor ride

Lots of picnic tables (I took our own lunch)

Not forgetting to mention the animals

Will make coming here a regular thing now

Highly recommend

User

Absolutely fantastic place,my 15yr old and 7yr old and 5yr old all really enjoyed it.We even got to brush the pony’s and stroked the lama. The maze were great too.We watched the cow getting milk and went on the tractor.Great indoor play area and out door play area too.Great full day out for the kids.

User

A really lovely place for children with lots of tractors to ride on. The play areas are excellent and have safe grounds. Not many animals but enough to keep young children interested. Food was good and I liked the fact that they didn’t guide you through the shop as we left .

User

Visited today with my mum, my 3 children and nephew. Disappointed to say the least. £30 for them to basically play on the park climbing frames!!! Hardly any animals to see. Arrived at 10.45 so got to do pony grooming, half the go karts wernt rideable, tractor ride was just a ride staring at all the Halloween stuff left up. An extra £1 per child for a barrel ride!!! Half term and no birds of prey!! Food was lovely but the que was slow and long. The boys enjoyed the soft play but I'd travelled from wigan and could of gone to soft play near home. My boys were gutted they didn't get to feed any animals, hold chicks, rabbits and touch anything. Smithalls farm is lots more value for money in respect to that. Probably won't be visiting again for the animal side again. Can see lots of money has gone into the place but basically just a glorified play area with the odd animal thrown in!!!!

User

I thought there was plenty to see and do for a whole day. I think it's bad that under 2year olds pay, very unusual and off putting. Also the llama, horse and a lot of the animals can hardly move in their enclosures and look so miserable. A lot of the animals are outside in their fields so why cage some up just for visitors to gawp at them. We can see them just as well outside.

Thank you

User

we went to visit on Easter Monday with My 4 year old and 8 year old we had a fab time at Farmer Ted's plenty to do even if the weather wasn't the best this didnt spoil our day. The Willy Wonka show was fantastic and both my children have asked to go back again soon. Food in the restaurant was very good quality and good value for money.
