Visitors today or yesterday may have noticed this huge crane on the shoreline - it's been bringing in the new decking for our historic boathouses, as part of our Heritage Lottery Funded restoration project.

We've teamed up with Lakeland Orienteering Club and are hosting another FREE drop in workshop tomorrow (Wed 20th). Have a go on our indoor challenge grid or our timed outdoor competition, plus there's crafts for little ones. Drop into the Active Base between 10am-3pm.

Eating out will never be the same again. Our pizzas will be made before your eyes in our wood-fired oven on the shores of Windermere. All you need to bring is your picnic blanket...!

Get a taste of orienteering at one of our workshops this February half term. Have a go at designing your own orienteering markers and navigate your way to a new hobby.
Tots can enjoy painting acorn cut outs for display around the park or to take home to make your own orienteering course in your garden. Whilst older children can get to grips with the basics of orienteering on our challenge grid in the Active Base or have a go at the outdoor courses in our timed competition. These are drop-in sessions throughout the day from 10-3pm.

Happy half term! If you're visiting from Ambleside or Windermere the main road down to Fell Foot (A592) is now OPEN until Sun 24 Feb. We're keeping our fingers crossed for good weather for our orienteering workshops and Volunteer Taster Day - the week ahead looks dry at least! More info on orienteering here > http://bit.ly/2GJeCku

Due to severe weather being forecast we have decided to close the park from 1pm today and we will reopen on Sunday morning at 9am for the safety of our visitors. This means parkrun has been cancelled tomorrow. We look forward to welcoming you back bright and early on Sunday morning 🌬💦 Stay safe out there!

If you're planning to visit us from the north via the A592, this is the diversion recommended by United Utilities. The work is scheduled until late March but it's worth noting that the A592 will reopen during February half term (Fri 15 - Sun 24 Feb)

It's another beautiful day today at Fell Foot. Have you taken any snowy photos from around the park or of the view lately? If so we'd love to see them! (Credit to our Membership Recruiter Imogen for this one!)

Just a reminder that we are still open while the A592 above us is shut. Come and visit while the weather is crisp and beautiful - there are so many photogenic opportunities at the minute! Get here via the A590 (Newby Bridge). (Photo credit Karen Tickle)
