This truly is an ideal base for your holiday or weekend away Being just a stones throw from The Lake District and The Yorkshire Dales.

Well we are on are way home from an amazing weekend I would highly recommend this for anybody the views are spectacular the log cabin is warm and welcoming it's been one of my many best experience I will be booking again . And the hot tub was a bonus thank you so much for letting us have this experience .xxx
We stayed in the lodge this weekend in the very windy weather but the weather did not take away from the beauty of this place we felt very safe, the peace and tranquility was lovely the kids really enjoyed watching the birds x the owners are very helpful and caring people x will will be returning next year and would recommend to anyone x
We loved it including the dog, while we chilled Poochie was studying the fluffy greyish/white things that made funny sounds.
We will definitely be back next year with the dog.
We have just came back from a fantastic weekend at the lodge. We loved every min of it. Very quiet and so chilled. Hot tub was beautiful looking out at the hills.
Two little boys said it was the best holiday ever.

We come this time every year! Amazing lodge, clean, tidy and very festive this time of year! Great location, you feel in the middle of no where with little pubs and villages just around the corner! Excellent people and product definitely worth it!!! (Our dog would also agree!!!)
This lodge is beautiful if you just want to relax this is the place the hot tub was just perfect to loads of wild life great walks 15 minutes to nearest town definitely recommend to any one β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ
This has to be one of the most relaxng holidays I have had. The lodge itself has everything you need, it is tastefully decorated and clean and tidy. The hot tub is an added treat where you can watch the sun go down, it is very secluded so if you are looking for peace and tranquility-look no further. (Nearest shop is a Co op which around 15mins by car)
One of the best relaxing destinations I have ever been to. Serene - peaceful - (autism) child friendly and the hot tub is just a bonus to an excellent lodge. Booking again guaranteed.
My hubby and I had a fabulous week, staying at Fir Tree Lodge, it was everything we were looking for. Tranquil, picturesque, clean with all needs catered for. It is in a very remote spot, however, it links quickly to the A66 leading to so many beautiful places to visit. Thank you so much for everything x
Just returned from an amazing stay at Fir tree lodge. Lodge was well equipped with everything we needed, it was extremely peaceful and very relaxing. The views are outstanding and our daily visits from the woodpeckers & red squirrels were a wonderful sight. Fabulous hot tub to relax in after a day of walking, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you Gary & Alison, we will recommend to others and hopefully return in the near future!
Just returned from a relaxing weekend at the lodge. Was so peaceful :-) Lodge was very clean and spacious and accomodated to all our needs....shame the weather didn't agree on Saturday.

Just returned from a fantastic weekend break for our wedding anniversary. Was totaly blown away by it's remote location. The wildlife is fascinating to watch. Right at the doorstep! The kitchen is fully equpped with pots and pans and ample crockery (but take your own cooking oil and condiments). The bottle of prosecco waiting in our room was a lovely surprise. Cleaning equipment also provided to wash up by hand (dish washer there but no tablets). Could have easily spent longer here. And will certainly return with family. If you go for peace and tranquility and reading books this is heaven! I personaly like to relax by watching TV. So the TV with built in DVD player and freeview in lounge was a nice touch after dark falls and theres nothing to do or watch...so next time i will take some DVD's. If going with family i will also take some board games for entertainment. Towels are also provided but a little small when stepping out of the tub and its chilly outside! Wild bird seed was waiting on the bird table which attracted the birds and squirrels, but only takes a few hours and its gone! So take some with you to top up or buy some in town during your stay. On the whole this was a stunning little lodge im just trying to provide useful information for potential guests. Would deffinately recomend to friends who appreciate the great outdoors and nature, and will certainly return. Thank you Alison and Gary.

I can't even begin to explain how amazing this place is. If you're looking for somewhere remote to relax then here is your place. A fantastic place to begin married life. We will definitely return.
