Today is our last day before we close for 2 weeks! We will be closing as soon as we sell out of everything which could be anytime after 7pm so we can enjoy a couple of drinks and scrub the place ready for the New Year. Also while stocks last we are selling our large Haddock for the same price as a regular, so get here early to avoid disappointment.

Just 10 chippy days until Christmas. We will be closing on Saturday 22nd December (probably a bit earlier than normal) for 2 weeks so we can all have a rest. A huge thank you to everyone who has taken the time to like our page, your custom and your support through a challenging 2018. Customer Notice
We have received the following information from our potato supplier with regard to the outlook for potato prices into next year.
"-Total area planted is down on last year by approximately 6%.... -Yield of the area planted is down between 25-50% dependant on the ability of the farms to irrigate. -Of the crops available there are concerns that only 50% may be of use to the chip industry due to variable frying colours and storage issues. -The consequences are long term as all of the potatoes currently being harvested have to last through until the new crop season which is around mid July 2019."

The obvious effect of this is a much higher and rapidly increasing price for our raw product. We are monitoring the situation and taking the brunt of the recent increases ourselves. Should we have to increase our price to the customer we assure you we will reduce it again as and when the price comes back down to a normal level.

I’m visiting Blackpool from Leicester and had fish and chips x 2 with a mate on Wednesday evening and thought they was the best I’ve ever had

I've been getting my chippie tea from Fishers Plaice for nearly 20 years now... don't go anywhere else as no one else compares... I'm on slimming world but couldn't resist getting fish and chips for my lunch today. freshly made fish and delicious chips... friendly staff and great food what more could you want?? xx

I have been using this chip shop for years and I've never had a bad meal. My mum says it's the best fish she's ever had !!!!!

Been going here on and off for over 15 years, never once had any issues. Sure, there are many places that could be on a similar par, but i doubt many will better it. I can assure you all, had far far worse in places that only claim to be the best. Excellent staff too, can't go wrong.

It's ok but this is the third time now I've been got home and they've forgotten some of my order. just paid 4.80 for chips curry. I asked the woman as well if my sausage was in the bag and she said yeah. rather go the merry cat or Onslow from now on.
