Today this year's calves and their mum's went outside for the first time what a lovely day for them

We have had a busy couple of days with the safe arrival of Marie's second calf a bull and Emily's fifth calf also a bull

Friday was a busy day for us, we were woken by the moocall letting us know that our first calf of the year was arriving imminently. Arriving safely was our first bull of the year Kojak, flossy is a brilliant mum and he was up and drinking within half an hour
Friday afternoon saw two of last year's bulls go to their new home, Jimmy and Joey have gone to the same dairy farm, where Tom works so he will be able to see them daily.

We would like to wish everyone who we have met and who have helped us to develop over the last year a very happy new year, we have had our biggest group of calves this year, 5 of which were from first calf heifers. 2018 saw us sell our first home bred bull and also introduce a new bull Sterling Hugo into our herd. We cannot wait to start calving in 2019 and would like to wish everyone the best of luck in the year to come.

This weekend we took Jack out to the English Winter Fair he came fourth in his class but it was a great experience he behaved brilliantly

This afternoon the sunshine has graced us allowing us a lovely afternoon of halter training the bull calves

Now he has done all of the hard work Hugo is enjoying a day of rest

Having returned from Stirling in October with the unexpected purchase of a bull, we decided to lend him to Steve White (Tirley Herd) and yesterday saw the delivery of his first calf a lovely little heifer we now can't wait for ours to arrive in March

Today we saw the vet for our annual pregnancy diagnosis session and we are pleased that Hugo has done his job well and the girls are due within 10 days of each other in the spring

Today saw our first bull go to his new home, he has taught us so much and has been an absolute star this show season. Going to feed in the morning will not quite be the same without him there to greet me. #simmental #motherofallbreeds #bull #softasabrush #farm24 #breeding #FishpoolIan

We have had so much fun showing this year, now the work starts on the calves, hopefully we will be able to get to some of the winter calf shows especially with Jack and Jett who have already been shown this summer.

Today Fishpool Ian was placed as Simmental Male champion we are very pleased with the way he has shown all year
