Well Friday was the first time I visited Liverpool with my friend as it was my birthday weekend and we stayed in a hotel 2 doors down and this was the local. I got to admit we had most of our meals there was and the prices were very reasonable and tasty. Also the staff were very friendly. Will definitley return. Thanks
We visited Liverpool on match day ,and what a place it is ,we were made to feel very welcome by the landlady ,loverly pint ,cheap too & the food was great too,also good price ,mixed grill was cooked to a tee, the pepper corn sauce was to die for so will definatlly call in again when we return to this wonderfull citiy ,top marks for Liverpool ,need a week to explore next time ,Big thanks Flute !
This place was great! They had a special which was 2 meals for £7.99 and desserts 2 for 1. The food and service were both outstanding. I will be back the next time I am in the UK!
Me and my family had the christmas lunch at flute on sunday, everything was great, from the way the table was set when we arrived, to the food and the lovely staff would highly recommend for any occasion.
I held my kids football team Christmas party at The Flute yesterday. The room was set lovely and the staff were friendly and made the kids feel welcome. It was really busy but despite that we all got an excellent service. The food was lovely and all the meals came quite promptly. The children and their families had a great time and even got a surprise visit from Father Christmas...which was a nice touch. Thank you to all the staff for helping to make a great day from Kevin and the football team.
Had our girls annual Christmas night out here. The table was set out lovely, the staff were really friendly including our waitress Maria who added that personal touch to the service and said if we needed anything at all to give her a shout. We will definitely be coming back! Thanks again X
Great boozer with damn good pub grub, excellent beers - all at fantastic prices. The excellent bar staff make you welcome but when there's a live match on, it can be difficult to find a seat with students sitting with a glass of Coke for the whole 90 minutes!
Always good real ales on tap! Wine choice limited but nothing wrong with a Macon Blanc!
Reasonable pub grub at reasonable prices.
Staff friendly and service efficient.
Only flaw is that Sport commentary can be over loud!!!
Absolutely fab. Had our Christmas get together at the flute, 9 of us in total, table was set out fab, food was delish all served at the same time and all lovely and hot. Staff wer lovely, couldn't do enough for us. First time here but definately won't be our last. Thanks especially to Maria for a lovely evening xxx
We used to love the flute every fri used to meet wife from work walk down to flute and have are fish and chips bar maids sue and maria were good with customers and one Friday we went in for are fish and chips sue and maria were not on oher staff on we got are fish and chips found the fish to be all batter and over cooked aproaching person who served to show the fish which had next to no fish inside who showed manager and manager said not are fault and blamed it on the supplier I was disgusted to think manger could not give another fish or give other option and we will not go in flute anymore which a shame we we regulars every Friday for are fish and chips and on other days through the week we were well known by sue ad maria for coming in and it's a shame to think we stopped going the flue think manger could been more helpful to customer service a good word for maria and sue 2 good bar maids
My husband and i stumbled across the flute by chance, we had a lovely meal and a few drinks, great atmosphere , staff were freindly and helpful, well recommended x
Food was OK, only waited about 20 minutes for meals. Staff were grumpy and seemed overwhelmed by number of customers at times, other than that, pub was OK - plenty of room, decent choice of drinks and food, loads of TVs showing the same thing.
As a pub for drinking and watching the match I can't fault The Flute, As an eatery tho very sub par. Often stuff on menu is not available or even notifying correct days. Other than that I would and have gone many times just with low expectations and they don't let me down
An old skool pub does and says exactly whats on the can. I liked it nice big size pub no frills clean tidy. I managed to watch the Wolves match and have a few laughs with my bud.
Had a meal with my son, his peas where totally dehydrated so he left them. Chicken Tikka Massala was a bit watery n the Onion Bhaji was squishy in the middle ( never had one like that before) & there was NO mango chutney even though it was on the menu. Next visit to Liverpool I will be going back to my usual pub
Worst food we've ever been served know its Christmas but my word waited an hour after being told the wait may be 20 minutes' when it arrived the two meals were stone cold ,we sent them back to be served heated up as it was in the microwave so the bread was rock hard ,peas disintegrated ,naan bread was,like a,brick ,we left the lot ,don't bother ordering large it was the smallest amount ,absolutely dire avoid at,all costs, disgrace the staff need retraining and a new chef .
Sorry but the food was yuk! How can you spoil chicken breast - was supposed to be in a BBQ sauce but was more like tomato sauce! To be fair, didn't expect much for 2 meals for £7.99 but should at least be edible!

Food disgraceful.... when I took food to bar to mention my pie was so hard and burnt and straight away you get question "do u wanna refund?" Says a lot about the staff in the back..barman with tattoos & shaved head couldnt do more To more to help,but the fact my return order was bought upstairs then sent back twice by the staff at the end of the bar..It was recomended to me that i have a different Pie..when this Pie came it was still hard around the edges. I'd had enough this Point so ate my chips, veg & gravy & left as had
