Forget-Me-Not Toys And Books

Saturday 27th October, 10am - 2pm, author of The Winwick Witch and the Golden Pig, Douglas Smith, will be here signing copies of his new, limited edition, children's book, Tikle the Hoglet which has an important road safety message. We still have copies of The Winwick Witch available.

We have some great books for Halloween and the cutest pumpkin style bath bombs.

It's Bookshop Day tomorrow and we'll be celebrating reading and all things book. We've cakes and balloons so do pop in to browse the shelves or just to talk books. #Bookshopday

Bonfire Night is fast approaching so it must be time to buy tickets for the fantastic Firework Extravaganza at Twiss Green Primary School - This really is a display worth attending and absolutely child friendly. We have tickets here at forget-me-not, Adults £6, Children £4, Family ticket £16, Age 3 and under go Free.

It's Super Thursday a busy day in the book world, this year 544 new titles hit the shelves in anticipation of Christmas. Our Christmas Book Catalogue has a fab selection, collect one from forget-me-not or watch out for it coming through local letter boxes very soon.

It's National Poetry Day today, celebrating rhyming and verse for everyone. We at forget-me-not absolutely love two new children's poetry books, I am the Seed that Grew the Tree is a beautifully illustrated book with a different nature poem for every day of the year and there's also Poems to Live Your Life By, by the very popular children's author Chris Riddell.

We have WOW Toys collectables in stock, both animal and people figures available. Safe from 10months and you can even pop them in the dishwasher. Check out some of the range here, I'm particularly loving the dinosaurs.

BOOKCLUB NEWS Our next BookClub read is The Silent Companions by Laura Purcell. We've been looking for a ghost story for a while as this genre was on our 'to be read list' for 2018 and I've heard good things about this one. Just had a little giggle at the latest from Kes Gray in the "Oi" series of rhyming books, Oi Duck-Billed Platypus.

We spent a lovely afternoon here today, our three year olds were kept busy with a variety of interesting art and craft activities. The staff were fantastic and the lunch was great too - we highly recommend it!

Venturing out for the first time with a newborn and toddler, I wondered in to this shop at the end of my tether after a very rocky morning. The staff are just wonderful, and the toys and books are fantastic! The food was spot on and the little play area in the cafe, well it turned my day around 100%. There's no doubt I'll be coming back!

They are friendly and welcoming, always a smile on their faces and excellent toys and books xx

And a big plus for me was a nice coffee!

Nothing is too much trouble for the wonderful staff here. Great place for children to play, where mums can relax and lovely books and toys for sale...did I mention the cakes?! Massive thumbs up!
