Hi Everyone What a beautiful start to the week. Wall to wall sunshine! Cows and calves outside at our farm at Haigh. An idyllic scene. We are so lucky to have such wonderful countryside right on our doorstep. I love this time of year . The blossom is out , grass is starting to grow and the fields spring into life with our new crop of lambs. All the hard work grappling with the elements through Winter is soon forgotten when the sun starts to shine and Summer is on the way.

So as of the 23rd May the Pork and Bacon counter will be changing to the BBQ counter! Filled with Sausages, Burgers, Marinated skewers, wings and joints, everything you need for a BBQ feast.... but don‚Äôt worry the Pork and Bacon still have their own counter. It‚Äôs just a swap around for the warmer weather..... fingers crossed it arrives soon ūüƧ

Just to say Thank you to everyone who supported us this week. We were extremely busy! Hope everyone has a lovely few days over the Bank Holiday, whatever the weather throws at us........... Down to our last dozen ewes to lamb but they are certainly taking their time!! All our other ewes with new lambs are doing fine. Just an update on the lamb noticed by our neighbour huddled on it‚Äôs own under the hedge a few days ago.. All looking good and definitely seems to have turned a c...orner . One of our neighbours spotted this lamb cowering under a hedge this morning after last nights horrible weather. 2 hours in the oven and a belly full of milk has done it a world of good!!

Not just lambing goes on with us. Here are the cows and new calves at Home Farm. They've been out a while now and are heading down to a bit of fresh pasture. They shouldn't need any more silage on the field from now on.
