It's the start of a new week so if you are thinking of a lunch out this week, whatever the reason, pleasure or business the Galloping Horse has a great midweek menu which offers two courses for £10.95 or three courses for £12.95. "Sunday is Special" at the Galloping Horse so every Sunday lunch alongside our regular menu a Sunday Roast Menu is served between 12-4pm. Correction to previous post about the Galloping Horse Race Night on Friday 10th August. Tickets are not required as I suggested you can just turn up on the night, and we hope lots of you do to raise funds for Jack's Journey. Wucky's Nook is proving a very popular hospitality venue for parties, meetings etc. This week it is booked all day Monday, Thursday night, Friday Night, all day Saturday, and Sunday lunch. Its a great setting for any style of celebration or meeting and we can customise your catering requirements. The fourth course of the Italian themed evening on Friday 20th July at the Galloping Horse is Spicy Meatballs in a tomato based sauce with tagliatelle. Various kinds of pasta with meat are part of the culinary tradition of the Abruzzo, Apulia, Sicily, and other parts of southern Italy. A recipe for rigatoni with meatballs is in Il cucchiaio d'argento (The Silver Spoon), a comprehensive Italian cookbook known as the "bible" of Italian Cooking. The third course of our five course Italian themed evening, the first of our "Galloping Round the World" themed dinner evenings is Risotto alla Pescatora, translated is Seafood Risotto, with a sample picture shown here. A truly refreshing summer dish that is a classic for the Naples & Pompeii area of Italy. Full of fine seafood, it is a divine gastronomic experience! Caprese salad is a simple Italian salad comprising of sliced mozzarella, tomatoes and sweet basil flavoured with salt and olive oil. Looks like its going to be a great night. Wonderful wonderful beautiful food and awesome friendly service, took our little girl for a bite to eat before we hit the pictures and loved it, as we were against the clock to get to the movie the lovely lady who served us got her a box to take her chips home! Wonderful will be back soon!
Went for the afternoon tea for my daughters baby shower and must say it is one of the best we have had well worth the money. Staff could not do enough for us very plesent and very helpfull,will deffinatly be returning and would highly recommend to anyone

Thank you so much for letting us have Mam & Dad’s golden wedding celebration in Wuckys Nook last night. It was fab from start to finish. Buffet was lovely and there was loads of it; staff were brilliant and friendly; and the room is great for a small celebration. We could not fault it at all. We all had a great night. Thanks again xx
Lovely atmosphere as we walked in and the pizzas cooking smelled amazing! We ordered the 12oz burger stacks and it was far more then we could finish! Came with side salad and chips for £11.95 which considering what we were served I thought was a reasonable price. The staff were very attentive checking to make sure everything was ok and asking if they could get me anything when my 3 month old daughter started fussing. Not a bad word to say, but I'll definitely be back. 5* well earned!
Love the Thursday night quiz our team came second - butties and chips were delicious and I won a box of chocolates in the raffle
Held a 50th meal here for my fiance, food was lovely and the service was brilliant. Well recommended.
Had the chicken and rib combo, the chicken was nice but the ribs were the best I've ever had the meat just dropped off the bone, the onion rings are great the whole meal was lovely and massive portions. Can't move now I'm stuffed
Cracking food, amazing service, reasonably priced everything. I really couldn't recommend this place enough. A real diamond!
Birthday treat last night with my hubby. Beautifully decorated inside and it was packed with diners. 2 meals, 2 wines and 1 fresh orange/lemonade was £31. Food was delicious and hot and it came within a reasonable amount of time. Staff very helpful and friendly! Would defo recommend and go again!
Always serve lovely food, the staff are nice and welcoming and the decor is smart. One of my favourite places to eat around here ��

17 of us had a lovely meal at the Galloping Horse last night! Great food in nice surroundings with lovely staff made my hubby' s 70th birthday meal a success! Many thanks everyone at GH will be back very soon!
Three of us have had Sunday lunch today! Food was absolutely beautiful plenty of it and was even asked how we wanted our beef cooked! All the food was beautiful our only criticism is my partner ordered a dessert and was told there was none left and the only other three desserts on the menu he didn’t like other than that the food was lush!! Highly recommend!!!
Lunch for 2 of us for my birthday and was very nice. Had the 2 course special, roast beef dinner and chocolate fudge cake. Very filling and was lovely, couldn't have managed the 3 course meal as there was alot but brought the rest of my beef home. Very friendly staff and enjoyed my meal.
3 of us ate here last night. Quick service. Lovely food and down to earth waitresses �
Went the other week, a bit pricey but lovely food and amazing chips! Waited a little for our food to come and to be served. Over all it okay good �
Poor service partly cooked desert waited fo pay the bill for what seemed like forever as all the staff were all congratulated in the kitchen absolutely disgraceful will not be going again
I decided to take my grandson for lunch last Thursday morning. Between 10.30 and 1130 I phoned 3 times but just got answer phone I left a message at 1130 asking to book a table for 12.30 I got no response at all so off we went to Old Gin House . You need to answer the phone !!!!
