Today took me out to one of our favourite Venues - Eaves Hall in West Bradford for the Wedding of Kirsty and Jack....
Kirsty chose a random, natural style hand tied bouquet filled with Roses, Peonies, Freesias, Bouvardia and Thlaspi. Her Bridesmaids bouquets were in Ivory and had Roses, Phlox, Bouvardia and Thlasi Grass....
The Groom, Bestman and Usher's buttonholes were backed with real Pheasant feathers, provided by Jack who is a keen hunter!

Hello my lovely followers! I want to appeal to you not as the Florist from Garlands but in my capacity as an Accrington Lion for help if possible please?
Our aim as Lions both nationally and internationally is to serve, provide and help our fellow humans in need whenever and wherever possible.
The School Holidays are well and truly under way and for most families, we imagine this to be a joyous and relaxing time?
... For many, it simply throws up more problems, such as providing food and getting all the necessary School Uniforms and equipment to send children back to School come September.
Again, most of us will automatically categorise such families as unemployed, on benefits or wasting their money on themselves rather than their children.
This is becoming, worryingly not the case. Many families are working full time, in low paid jobs and still finding it hard to put food on the table, clothe their children adequately and simply make ends meet, the fact they choose to work, means that help is not available from the state - yes I admit, I myself was sceptical and shocked at first, but after seeing this first hand, this is frighteningly extremely common... 🙁
**I want to be able to help provide equipment and uniform for school, even if its just a tripple pack of white Polo Shirts for £1.50 the next time we are in Lidl, Aldi or Asda, every little thing that we can provide will be a truly massive thing to these children and families!**
***Please, if you can find it in your hearts and indeed your budget can you either buy some extra shirts, sweatshirts, skirts or trousers or some pens, pencils and perhaps a little bag or pencil case or alternatively donate and I will do the shopping?***
***Donations, of either new or second hand in good condition uniforms can be left with me at Garlands of Oswaldtwistle HQ***
***All items will be forwarded to the Team at Hyndburn Helpers, who do an amazing job of helping out in our community.***

Wow! What a beautiful day, even the rain couldn't marr it - at the Wedding of the gorgeous Lisa & John - the new Mr & Mrs Keigher at Mitton Hall a favourite stunning venue of ours...
Lisa looked beautiful in her Gown, the soft tone of the Pink Peonies and crisp white of the Phlox complimented it perfectly...
The fragrance that came from the Peony and Flox combination was out of this world and the many Bees and Wasps outside thought so too! Lol
... Her Bridesmaids wore Pistache, which the Gypsophelia Clouds with Eucalyptus Collars went so well with...
The theme was natural look, with oodles of fresh foliages used in the top table and ceremony table runner, which Copper lanterns and LED lights looked fab with...
I loved the elegance of the wedding cake made by the wonderful Jo at A Cake Occasion of Church, Accrington, we provided the foliage garland for it...

Today sees us at Mitton Hall delivering the lovely Lisa and John's wedding flowers and decorating the venue too! What a pity the weather has changed, but Lisa, if you should read this, it was similar weather for my hubby and I on June 26th 21 years ago... I too, longed for true June summer weather... I had dreamt of travelling to the venue to be married in an open top Vintage Car, with my Veil floating in the wind, but no, I remember shivering with the roof firmly closed so ...very well! Just remember, the one true saying and consolation is that if it rains on your Wedding Day, your partnership, companionship and love will last forever!
I like to think we are testament to that!

Two of my final loving family Casket Sprays from this week.... The solid Red Rose one looked and smelt devine... The one in all whites was especially very close to my heart, as it was made for our dear friend Beryl's funeral, she was truly one of the most beautiful ladies inside and out you could ever meet... The fragrance was gorgeous, containing sweet scented Stocks and White Peonies amongst others... God bless them both xx

These guys did the flowers for my wedding. I told Rachel what colour I liked and she knew what to order straight away! It's quite scary because you never know till the day what they would look like. I had Garlands flowers for my wedding this year and they were truely amazing and so beautiful. Rachel was so so lovely too. I didnt know what to expect with the martini glasses the tables but they were perfect with the LED lights in them too. My bridesmaids loved their posies too and I loved my bouquet. They even put a little charm in for me of my nan and grandad which just looked perfect. Everyone asked who done my flowers and my guests just commented on beautiful they were. Garlands Florist saved the day. I called in 3 days before our 35th wedding vow renewal after a friend recommended Garlands. The bouquet that I had made elsewhere was meant to be a waterfall bouquet but it wasn't quite right so I wasn't going to use it. After speaking to Rachel she said she would try and re construct it. 2 days later I went back and was reduced to tears. the bouquet was spectacular, absolute perfection. I would recommend that you use Garlands Florist for any of your floristry requirements, you will not be disappointed. Garlands Florist did our wedding flowers for us in March this year, and what absolutely incredible and amazing job they did! Rachel was recommended to us by the Dukenhalgh Hotel where we got married, and what a fantastic recommendation it was! They provided such an outstanding service from start to finish.

We had an initial meeting with Rachel at her lovely shop a good few months prior to the wedding. Rachel was extremely welcoming and friendly and totally put our minds at ease. She was so knowledgeable and experienced. We shared our ideas for flowers and Rachel listened carefully to what we wanted. She showed us her previous work and made some recommendations to us too based on the time of year for the wedding, our colour theme and the suitability of the flowers. By the end of our appointment we had agreed our flowers and the quote. Rachel provided the bride and bridesmaids bouquets, corsages for the Mums and button holes for the groom, best man, ushers and Dads. She also provided our table centres, petals for the tables and thank you flowers for a number of guests. The quote was so reasonable and competitive and we were so happy that Rachel could provide everything we wanted without having to go to different suppliers.

Close to the wedding Rachel did me a sample bouquet so I can see what the flowers and colours would look like. The bouquet was so beautiful and I was thrilled with it. The design and flowers were exactly what I wanted but decided I wanted to alter the colour theme slightly to more closely match the bridesmaid’s dresses. Rachel was so accommodating, flexible and understanding and helped me decide on a minor colour change to the bouquet, which resulted in the bouquet being perfect.

When the flowers arrived on the wedding day I was totally blown away! They were stunning! The colours were so beautiful and the smell was amazing! I was over the moon with all the arrangements. Everything was delivered exactly on time and set up beautifully. Every attention to detail was made and nothing was missed. Rachel made sure everything was perfect. The bridal party we so happy with their flowers and we received so many compliments from our guests in relation to the flowers. Rachel and her husband stayed and took some pictures of our wedding too which were beautiful and which we are so grateful for.

I felt a million dollars on my wedding day and my flowers were just so beautiful and so perfect and complimented my dress so well. I know the rest of the wedding part felt the same about their flowers. The wedding room looked incredible too. The service I received from Garlands was amazing and so personalised. Attended the Christmas Wreath making evening and it was just perfect. Fabulous company, great (and patient guidance from Rachel with all us novices!), mulled wine, nibbles and festive music courtesy of Simon on the piano. If you want to get in the Christmas spirit, you will by doing this!

Garlands Florist saved the day. I called in 3 days before our 35th wedding vow renewal after a friend recommended Garlands. The bouquet that I had made elsewhere was meant to be a waterfall bouquet but it wasn't quite right so I wasn't going to use it. After speaking to Rachel she said she would try and re construct it. 2 days later I went back and was reduced to tears. the bouquet was spectacular, absolute perfection. I would recommend that you use Garlands Florist for any of your floristry requirements, you will not be disappointed. Garlands Florist did our wedding flowers for us in March this year, and what absolutely incredible and amazing job they did! Rachel was recommended to us by the Dukenhalgh Hotel where we got married, and what a fantastic recommendation it was! They provided such an outstanding service from start to finish.

We had an initial meeting with Rachel at her lovely shop a good few months prior to the wedding. Rachel was extremely welcoming and friendly and totally put our minds at ease. She was so knowledgeable and experienced. We shared our ideas for flowers and Rachel listened carefully to what we wanted. She showed us her previous work and made some recommendations to us too based on the time of year for the wedding, our colour theme and the suitability of the flowers. By the end of our appointment we had agreed our flowers and the quote. Rachel provided the bride and bridesmaids bouquets, corsages for the Mums and button holes for the groom, best man, ushers and Dads. She also provided our table centres, petals for the tables and thank you flowers for a number of guests. The quote was so reasonable and competitive and we were so happy that Rachel could provide everything we wanted without having to go to different suppliers.

Close to the wedding Rachel did me a sample bouquet so I can see what the flowers and colours would look like. The bouquet was so beautiful and I was thrilled with it. The design and flowers were exactly what I wanted but decided I wanted to alter the colour theme slightly to more closely match the bridesmaid’s dresses. Rachel was so accommodating, flexible and understanding and helped me decide on a minor colour change to the bouquet, which resulted in the bouquet being perfect.

When the flowers arrived on the wedding day I was totally blown away! They were stunning! The colours were so beautiful and the smell was amazing! I was over the moon with all the arrangements. Everything was delivered exactly on time and set up beautifully. Every attention to detail was made and nothing was missed. Rachel made sure everything was perfect. The bridal party we so happy with their flowers and we received so many compliments from our guests in relation to the flowers. Rachel and her husband stayed and took some pictures of our wedding too which were beautiful and which we are so grateful for.

I felt a million dollars on my wedding day and my flowers were just so beautiful and so perfect and complimented my dress so well. I know the rest of the wedding part felt the same about their flowers. The wedding room looked incredible too. The service I received from Garlands was amazing and so personalised. Attended the Christmas Wreath making evening and it was just perfect. Fabulous company, great (and patient guidance from Rachel with all us novices!), mulled wine, nibbles and festive music courtesy of Simon on the piano. If you want to get in the Christmas spirit, you will by doing this!
