Gawsworth Life

Gawsworth Parish Council represents the residents of Gawsworth and is responsible for managing Gawsworth Park and Nancy's Wood.

Gawsworth Parish Council was formed in 1894, with the first ever meeting taking place on 14th December in the Parish Schoolroom. Since then, the Council has represented the views of Gawsworth residents at the first tier of local government.

The Parish Council consists of 9 councillors, representing the two wards of Gawsworth. Gawsworth Village elects 6 councillors, and Gawsworth Moss 3 councillors. The Council has one part time employee, the Parish Clerk, whom is responsible for the administrative running of the Council.
