Today I bit the bullet and enrolled for Mac Nutrition Uni!
I’ve felt relatively happy with my knowledge of training clients, however I’m always hungry to learn more in order to help them achieve amazing, realistic and sustainable results.
This course will allow me to call myself an MNU, insured nutritionist, which I feel is an area that personal training as an industry can lack in.
... PTs aren’t qualified to give meal plans to clients, and many (including myself) would like to learn how to better coach clients with their nutrition, as I’ve found it to be so much more important for their results than anything else!
I can’t wait to get started on this year-long course in September!

While Ben is my brother, and this inevitably opens room for bias, I can hand on heart say I could not have asked for a better teacher into the world of fitness, nutrition and strength training. I'm grateful for the approach he takes, so that I have started with the right mindset in getting my technique right and focussing on progress in various forms, rather than aiming to push myself too far too fast. The community he has built is wonderful to be a part of, and I will thoroughly miss everyone and the classes as I go globetrotting, but I am thrilled with the progress I have achieved since starting 16 months ago.

Quite simply the best teacher I've ever known.....knows what he's talking about and really listens-so if you're on the lookout for an expert to show you the way,get in touch you'll be glad you did

....Fast forward to 2017.......the above statement is still very much true and i'm now having 2 PT sessions a week and it's the best investment I have ever made.

Before starting out I was very overweight,had a dissociative attitude towards my health,I wasn't in denial I just didn't connect with it at all,no confidence,hated being around people -in short I was very miserable.....

Why do regular PT sessions work for me?

Learning a new skill is very liberating especially when pushing 40 as I was and with that came a little bit of confidence and that became an addiction-not the gym going but the happiness that it brought me,the strength to cope with everyday crap that all of us have to deal with at some point,it's time out for me and it brings an inner peace-I can honestly say hand on heart I am a totally different person now-a better person-a happier more balanced person (I actually love spending time with people now) and ben is responsible for this.....he reads people exceptionally well always knows when to push me and when to just hold station and coach me through it and he never stops trying to improve his knowledge to pass on to his clients,he's humble and builds people up and the most inportant thing is.....every session is fun,I love it.

In the time I've been having personal training sessions with Ben I have learnt so much. I struggle to be in social situations but the confidence I have gained over the last couple of years means I have less panic attacks and I'm able to train on my own in the gym and take part in ben's classes which I love. Super organised sessions that are easy to follow and build upon - which ultimately is super important to make great progress. Aside from the exercise in the sessions Ben is a great laugh and can read how you are feeling and when to crank it up a notch or pair it back. Worth every penny!

I have known Ben for a couple of years now and would never have gained the confidence to go to the gym and know what to do in there without him. The thing is I can be a bit of a challenge!! I'm a mature women and certainly not as dedicated as some of the younger clients at the gym. I go away quite a bit and could/should be more consistent with my gym sessions. However this morning with Ben's encouragement I managed 3 sets of 60k dead lifts interspersed with bench pressing. I'm so pleased with myself because this is 5k more than ever before and in all I lifted that 60k for two sets of 12 and one of 15 � I can't believe I'm actually saying this!!

The support and help I get from Ben and his other clients is fantastic and makes me want to train more often and make more progress. My friends and family who have not seen me for a while have asked if I've lost weight and tell me how well and fit I look. Which is great to hear. �To be honest I've not lost loads of weight but I'm definitely stronger, fitter and I've toned up. My diet is much better (most of the time) Ben is a very knowledgeable and approachable personal trainer. He is friendly and puts me at my ease. He has taught me a lot about training and I can honesty say that I will never stop going to the gym. Thank you Ben and Team Foy.
