Silverdale Art Trail this weekend (22nd June). Lots of super talented people showing off their creations. Thanks to the amazing knitters/crocheters that have yarn bombed the village. Brilliant!

Thanks so much Gibraltar Farm for hosting our second charity camp. It was a huge success and we've raised lots of money for Duchenne UK (£3000) everyone had an amazing time and the weather couldn't have been better. The 30+ families were all raving about how beautiful the site is (and the ice creams were delicious). The children didn't want to leave. Looking forward to next year already. Xxxx

HAPPY CAMPERS - Purists, watch out for badgers stealing your picnic. Glampers, put in your cheese order. These are Britain's 20 coolest campsites. By Duncan Craig NewspaperApril 15, 2018 | Sunday Times, The (London, England)
GIBRALTAR FARM, LANCASHIRE (Number 4 on the list)
... You have a choice: the field or, for a big gang, 10 acres of woodland known as the Woods. (They call a spade a spade in these parts.) There's homemade ice cream and fresh milk for sale, both from the farm's herd of British Friesians. A ban on music keeps things peaceful — all the better for enjoying views of Morecambe Bay below. Pitches from £13; gibfarm.weebly.com
No one knows exactly why, but camping holidays in the UK are booming: up from 15.4m trips in 2015 to 17m in 2017. That figure is predicted to reach 22.1m in 2020, according to the market researcher Mintel. Perhaps it's Brexit or worries about the weakened pound, improvements in tent technology or the relentless rise of glamping. Or maybe it's just down to our love of the British coast and countryside. Whatever the reason, loitering in tents is no longer the cheap option — it's the fashionable one. Here are our favourite British sites.

Our newest jersey girl... little Iris born after a few days after Christmas. Poor thing was born late at night and got hypothermia, it was touch and go for a while! But she's thriving now and enjoying life under her very own heat lamp! Don't tell the others they'll all want one!

Thank you to Vale of Lune Young Farmers for organising Dairy Stock Judging at Gibraltar Farm on Monday night. An informative evening and we all learnt a lot from Mr Garnett the Master Judge. The cows behaved impeccably even if they did wonder what all the fuss was about. Well done those that took part and special thanks to Claire, Josie and Mr Garnett.
