Gin Journey Liverpool Description
Every Saturday our knowledge thirsty, gin praising guardians lead gin lovers round 5 of Liverpool's top bars (they change seasonally, and many are very hidden - Ssshhh! ! ). In each bar, gin revellers are treated to a bespoke cocktail and a sample of gin.
At each venue, guests are educated on how to best appreciate their gins, whilst tasting the samples and cocktails, and discussing the ingredients.
Your Gin Guardian, then treats everybody to a discussion on the history and ingredients of the gin, as well as it's links to Liverpool & the Gin Journey.
Between venues, we are whisked around in our very own Gin Carriage (a mini bus) whilst your Gin Guardian discusses the history of the Navy's inextricable links with Gin and Liverpool.
There is an opportunity to grab some tasty food along the way, and plenty of water and fresh air to boot!
All guests are encouraged to drink responsibly.

What a fantastic time we had yesterday. Fab gins at some great bars, met some lovely people including our guide Nick who was very knowledgable. Thanking the gin carriage driver Colin who put up with us too. Missed the train home but never mind. 6 gin cocktails as well as 5 taster gins! A fab gift I would reccomend to anyone. What a fantastic day we had yesterday on the Gin journey!
From start to finish the day was amazing. Our guide Negroni Nick was very welcoming and put us all at ease. His knowledge of the Gins and the history of Gin was exceptional. To top it off we made some lovely new friends.The hidden away bars we visited were amazing, my favourite was Furnival's Well will definitely go back there! I will be recommending this tour to everyone. Thanks again Nick
Well, what a fantastic day that was. We met some lovely people on the gin journey and had such a laugh. Kate was an incredible tour guide who was full of fun & a fountain of knowledge. The bars we visited were ones we had’nt been to before but would definately visit again. This tour was worth every penny..a gin taster & a cocktail in every venue keeps you ‘topped up’ and intrigued with whats to follow. If you are ‘thinking’ about going on the journey...do yourself a favour and JUST GO, it was fantastic xxx
Well what a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Connor was a great tour guide and explained everything. There was a gin waiting for us in every bar we went to.

Well what I can say .... Nick was absolutely amazing , their was 10 of us that came Liverpool for the weekend and the gin journey was a planned suprise for our bday girl, which she thoroughly loved, nick sure knew his info on the gins, mixers and history , and had amazing banter ( well he had to with us lot on board)� , can we all just applaud nick � and not forgetting Colin aka kev (who I kept calling��) for giving us our ride around Liverpool in the gin-a-bus to secret destinations we'd never of found on our own.
I can not recommend enough how amazing this gin journey is and would deffo do it again in the near future . Thanks again lorra lorra love from #teamnorthampton x
Thank you for our Gin Journey to celebrate my wifes 50th birthday - This was our second Gin Journey and there were 20 of us in our party along with the 3 girls from Chester and a couple from North Wales who really added to the enjoyment of the day and were a great laugh - Joe was a great host considering he’d only been doing the job a short while, so plaudits to him!
Everyone really enjoyed themselves even the none Gin drinkers although there were one or two of the cocktails that were not very nice - not a complaint just a constructive observation to maybe change a couple of the cocktails - not the venues they were absolutely fine.

Oh what a journey!!! Loved every minute of yesterday's experience...and it really was an experience too... sampled some mighty fine gins... learned so much too about gin...(all forgotten now tho �) met some really nice people on our gin journey too... and the venues were amazing... opened my eyes to what gems we have available in Liverpool... our host Nick was such a lovely guy too....so informative and very welcoming. Even down to our driver on our coach, very polite and courteous ... Hope you all enjoyed yesterday's journey as much as I did... will definately recommend this journey to friends n family ... I don't think you can improve much on this guys... perfect...WELL DONE XX

Kate is the heart of this fabulous experience! She is one cool cat who had us travelling around the hidden gems of Liverpool, sipping fine cocktails and tasters of gin and plying us with history, experiences and tips for gin connoisseurs everywhere, this gal knows her stuff and makes the night run as smoothly as a dash of Sipsmith!! I would highly recommend a trip down gin lane with Gin Journey - Kate your a legend xxxxx
It was a birthday present of my sister and i took my best friend and it was one of the best times i have ever had round Liverpool. Nick and Colin were great and all the staff in the venues too.
I'd do it again. Highly recommend it.
I had the most amazing time on the Gin Journey last Saturday, there was a group of us and everyone one of us loved it, trying different gins in different pubs that were hidden little treasures, it was the best birthday present from my wonderful friends who also had a fab day, we didn’t want it to end � nick was such a great host and made us all welcome including my huge birthday balloon �

Had an absolute ball tasted some excellent gins and even better cocktails, went to bars didn't even know existed will go back, met some great people with really great stories to tell. Sour dough bread fantastic at the buyers club and the food at Mr Miyage bold st was gorgeous. All the info about the gins was really interesting and Nick/Mick the Rabi was a really interesting fun guy. Recommend to anyone, but if you like Gin it's a must xxx
Had a fab afternoon yesterday on this Gin journey - many thanks to Nick for his unending knowledge and for showing us so many hidden gems of bars in Liverpool - spent the afternoon with a great bunch of people too - if anyone has any gin loving friends/ family this is highly recommended - great place to start the journey too at Furnivells Well so much character 'the old jail' - they have kept some fantastic original aspects of the place
Fabulous day out - went to bars I hadn’t visited before. Connor the guide was tremendous. We were a group of 8 friends and each and everyone of us enjoyed it - even those who don’t usually drink gin. Thoroughly recommend for a different day out in Liverpool

Brilliant afternoon had by all 11 of us celebrating mums 70th birthday. Our fabulous host Nick was fantastic along with all the other bar staff at the various bars we visited to taste the amazing gin cocktails! Can't recommend it enough!
Booked this tour as part of my friends hen weekend in Liverpool, what an absolute blast we all had. Even if you're not sure if you like gin you'll leave this tour knowing that you do! Amazing day on the gin journey yesterday. Brought as a gift for my boyfriend for his birthday! Considering I'm not a gin drinker I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Nick was brilliant too, made the effort to talk to everyone individually and also gave us recommendations of where to go for food and drink as we weren't from the area. Will definitely be telling all my gin loving friends about this experience. Thanks again Nick ��
After sampling Gin journey Edinburgh 4 of us travelled from up north over the Easter weekend especially to sample gin journey Liverpool. We weren't disappointed. The very cool bars were hidden gems we would never have found ourselves and the gin cocktails were superb. Kate, our gin guardian was brilliant, educational and funny. The gin journey is such a cool way to see a new city and make new friends. Cant recommend it enough, we are already planning gin journey London.�
A fantastic day with a wonderful host. Nick really knew his stuff and made us all feel like VIPs along the way with a brand new bar on the journey and cocktails on the go. I would 100% recommend this to any gin lovers or anyone who wants a fab day out!
