We stayed here for my partners birthday back in February and had a great time, the room was gorgeous and the staff couldn't be more helpful. We loved it so much we have just booked again to stay for my birthday in July

We have just been for afternoon tea and it was amazing. The selection of sandwiches was different to the run of the mill normal afternoon tea sandwiches but perfect, and the cake selection was to die for. Unlimited hot drinks was also included and the range of teas and coffees meant you had a great choice. All of this was topped off with excellent service from walking in the front door to walking back out of the front door. Well done Gotham a lovely anniversary treat for myself and my husband.

We had a wonderful day and evening at the hotel!! I thought this was a very impressive place to stay. The staff are all really friendly and enthusiastic to help and the rooms are fantastic! I loved every moment there! Once you arrive it seems unnecessary to leave, and sitting up on the 6th floor drinking the most delicious cocktails I’ve had in ages was a really relaxing way to spend a Sunday, especially with their setup and awesome views. Waiters are great, chef made an amazing eggs Benedict... I could go on! All in all 5 stars and I highly recommend this hotel. Thanks to all the staff that put in so much effort!

Very quirky heard lots about the hotel and our visit didnt disappoint.Booked an Executive room big bed lovely big bathroom with a fantastic shower loved all the little luxury touches in the room.Booked dinner and Martinis in the honey restaurant very very nice food fabulous. Then went for cocktails in club brass .will be going back .

This place is a must to stay at when in Manchester. The staff are always pleased to see you and can’t do enough for you. The room , Gotham suite, was beautiful with great views over Manchester. Food, drinks in the bar, breakfast and staff all fantastic. Such a pleasant relaxing stay we will be back, thank you Gotham

My Husband & I visited on Sunday (24th June) for a meal to celebrate our Anniversary, AMAZING!

The food was delicious, fantastic choice of drinks too. The staff were very friendly & attentive.Our waiter was called Dean, a big shout out to him!... keep hold of this guy!5*, thank you for making our experience a great one,the guy in the bar also, we didn’t catch your name ?!

Just got back from an amazing stay at the hotel. Right from the start the staff were really attentive and couldn't be more friendly. We were upgraded rooms as we were celebrating my birthday and it was lovely, clean and there were plenty of room. Will definitely be returning. Thank you for a great stay!!

I work here and brought my family here for the first time to celebrate my mum beating cancer with afternoon tea and champagne/cocktails. From the other side of the bar I can't fault the service from any of my colleagues, and they all made the day so much better than I was hoping for!

I attended yesterday for lunch, what can I say? From start to finish the attention to detail was faultless, the menu is exceptional and we were served by experience staff who cater for your every need from the moment we arrived to we left.

Celebrated my daughter’s eighteenth birthday with afternoon tea and then cocktails upstairs. Staff were brilliant including lighting and delivering the birthday cake and being very attentive at all times. Decor is fab, ambience is perfect, doorman was lovely! Will be back with my husband....

A lovely afternoon tea with fab views over Manchester from the 6th floor Honey Restaurant . The staff were friendly and attentive too. The sandwiches were fresh with tasty fillings, my favourite being the chicken and tarragon. There was a super selection of cakes (5 each), I'd say more like petite fours as they were quite dinky. The scones were enjoyable but a little dry for me however the strawberry jam was scrumptious. We both enjoyed a glass of prosecco too. Whilst I chose an earl grey loose leaf tea, my husband who is a non-hot drinks person , drank tap water as there was no option to exchange the hot drink for a standard draft cold drink for the same price, however, this did not dampen our experience. We were using a Travelzoo voucher which we thought was great value.

We went for afternoon tea celebrating our wedding Anniversary!!! The views looking over Manchester were superb especially in the sunshine & blue skies!!!

We enjoyed the whole experience & the staff were very friendly & efficient especially the Restaurant Manager we would certainly recommend it , the food was lovely and the choice of teas was great

Visited the bar tonight with pals staying at the hotel. Great to see such a classic building get the full treatment it deserves. For this Bat fan I would recommend some Anton Furst Gotham artwork or some originals from the likes of Frank Miller, Greg Capullo et al to step up to the name. Calling your hotel Gotham carries a lot of weight to me and many like me. Some nice touches all the same and the bar staff doing a fine job! � ��

The decor is quirky rooms have everything thing that’s required and beautifully clean.

Great location with lots of beautiful restaurants close by.

The restaurant staff are a bit disappointing for this level of hotel.

But over all � � done

Visited on Sunday for the Mother’s Day three course meal, after being seated we were asked by 3 staff on separate occasions if we would like to order drinks - there was a lack of communication with each of the staff but finally got our drinks after nearly half an hour. Food was lovely, however my lamb main was extremely chewy resulting in me leaving most of it because it was impossible to cut through. I’d suggest to maybe allocate one staff member to take orders as no one seemed to have an awareness of what was going on. Really wouldn’t say it was worth just under £100, quite disappointing as it was a special occasion.

My husband and I stayed here a few weekends back with my brother and sister in law. Rooms are nice with some really quirky touches. One thing I didn't expect was a standard double bed (thought a king would have been standard at least for the cost of these rooms!). Hotel bar was OK, though service very slow. Staff were all lovely and extremely helpful, however I won't return as I don't feel this hotel was worth what we paid and I certainly wouldn't consider it a 5*.....

Lovely afternoon tea shame we had to wait over half an hour tho for the tea had eaten our sandwiches and cakes by the time the tea came and had to ask fof it

The hotel is beautiful but unfortunately that is where it ends!

Service is appalling taking 45 mins to get a drink. When asked later why 5 bar staff but 2 serving the response was that they needed to serve the hotel guests in the members bar. Strange as a large percentage of the hotel guests were in the function room.

Disappointed as was expecting great things however in reality a Travelodge would give better service.
