We love Whitehaven – the historic harbour and its magnificent Georgian buildings in and around the town centre are atmospheric and brimming with history. As a family we used to love the Maritime Festival so it’s fantastic to see Taste Whitehaven putting the town on the foodie festival map. Taste Whitehaven only started last year but we’re promised an even bigger event this July with the town centre’s producers’ market and food demonstrations complimenting a beer and fizz festival and live music down at the harbour.

We visit here everytime we go to Grasmere. We have been doing this for years and so decided to order gingerbread for our favours at our wedding in 10 days time. Couldn't help popping in today to pick some more up when we passed through.

We loved our wedding favours and so did our guests, highly recommend to others

We collected ours from the shop as we were married near keswick, perfectly wrapped for collection, thank you for the card with them

Shirley Ann was brilliant throughout the full process thank you so much, we even had one posted to a family member who could not make it which was great

The personalised ribbon finished them off beautifully

We had Grasmere Gingerbread as our wedding favours. With my husband being from the Lakes but use now living and getting married in York it was a lovely way to have a bit of his homeland with us on the day!

Shirleyann has been so lovely and helpful all the way through. There are so many different options and the Gingerbread arrived freshly baked the day before the wedding! Each favour was packaged so beautifully and looked lovely on each table setting. As always it tasted amazing!! Would highly recommend Grassmere gingerbread not only for the amazing product but for their high level of customer service, attention to detail and efficiency. Thank you!

We can't thank Grasmere Gingerbread enough for helping us to have our perfect wedding day. We've always enjoyed their Gingerbread and when we were getting married in the Lakes recently and wanted to give something local as our wedding favours, Grasmere Gingerbread came to mind! Thank goodness it did, as they went down so well with the guests and looked so pretty on the wedding breakfast tables. Visited recently, got gingerbread of course lol and treacle toffee lollypops... Taken bk home as gifts to Wales and was loved by everyone! Definitely the best gingerbread I have ever had

The product is high quality, the tin a professional and most decorative item. Service was professional yet still gave it that home made appeal. Choice of courier with APC was an interesting one, but the driver was prompt at our home just after 8am on the 23rd December. Highly recommended to others and we shall be buying from Grasmere again.

Just received my parcel this morning, i couldn't wait to taste it and I have to say, it's the nicest gingerbread I have EVER tasted. Ordered my own after my husband refused to let me try his, can see why now!!! Will be ordering more! Yummy 😋

I bought a packet of Gingerbread at last week's food festival in Accrington. It was absolutely delicious, I have savoured it all week.

Had the 2 piece traditional gingerbread as our wedding favours and they went down brilliantly. Not to mention how fantastic the customer service was. We were spoken to as if we were a good friend of theirs. They even put a wedding card in with our order and then a few weeks after our wedding we received a Christmas card in the post from them wishing us a happy first Christmas as husband and wife! We always pop in for some gingerbread when we are in grasmere. Thank you so much.

Delicious as always, we are slightly biased as its not our first visit but we always make a point of buying when we visit because you can’t find a better tasting gingerbread anywhere!😉

Been coming here for 25 years and it just gets better. The smell everytime u walk in the shop blows you away. Id advice anybody to at least visit and buy a slice (or 12 if your me�)

Back in our beloved Grasmere today so had to make the usual purchase of 12 pieces! Served by the wonderful Barry and the girl who liked to be called ‘Sarah’ ;o) - lovely service as always and my partner back in York can’t wait for his favorite treat!

Always make a trip to this lovely unique shop when in the Lakes. Absolutely amazing gingerbread and other products. A little shop of happiness xx
