Greenslate Farm

We are a farm that is run by the community with help from volunteers around Billinge and Orrell.

After a successful bid to Wigan MBC Greenslate Farm is now a a Community Farm. We are now putting our plans into place which include community allotments and a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Scheme which will grow fruit & vegetables, chickens & pigs, bees for honey and provide local people with a diverse range of seasonal produce.

The success of the scheme will rely on getting as many local people involved as possible. You will be able to take part in many different ways allowing you to fit in at whatever level of commitment suits your current lifestyle. Volunteering opportunities will abound and we will run workshops, skill swaps and community fun days.
