Nearly the weekend 😬
It is with great sadness Viaduct, The Griffin cat has had to be put to sleep today through illness. 😿 Only last year his twin brother, Count was knocked over Aka The Tesco/Griffin cat 😿 Both will be dearly missed by Joanne and all at The Griffin. It's a nice thought to think they are reunited somewhere continuing to be mischievous together again 😿
Friday Night we have Chris Appleton for a great night of acoustic guitar! Then Saturday The MLC Band will make their debut at The Griffin. #Classic Rock and much more!

the griffin is the best pub in earlstown, the atmosphere is next to none the staff are great, the landlady is drop dead gorgeous. and the entertainment.well!!!!!only the best groups in the country. if you havent been. go. you wont be sorry..

Wonderful atmosphere and top notch entertainment, would love to see Aspalls or real cider behind the bar though :)
With being from outta town I only visit occasionally when certain bands are playing but each time I've been had a great night with friendly bar staff

Great staff and really band 'friendly' my band (The Rockin Horses) recently played here and were properly looked after.
Some great bands on here too!
Top boozer, always looked after us and the other acts that play. Great place.
Nice time had by all. Staff friendly but could do with some new paint work inside 👍👍👍

I moved to Earlestown about 9 months ago and deliberately plonked myself close to The Griffin. I used to drive over from Widnes for the live bands a few years back so i knew it was a good boozer...even though i'd have to stick to shandy. So when i moved there was only one choice to be my local. I don't get in there as often as i'd like but when i do i feel right at home thanks to the friendliness of the landlady, staff and regulars. Great pub!
I loved this pub and was a regular there. Top bands and jo was a real gem. Im sure the regulars still remember me. Worth a visit.
